I have read the other reports concerning I.R.R. and how they represent that you are getting such a good deal for an "all inclusive" vacation. I am also a victim to this false advertising.

I responded to an advertisement sent out via fax to my office desk. I called and booked a trip to Cancun with a person named JoAnn Moore who represented that I would be charged $398/person, plus no more than $99/person for hotel taxes and gratuities. Well, no more than $99/person tranlates into a reservation form you have to fill out and send an additional $99/person to just book the trip. So, the $99 is mandatory.

When I was contacted by my agent with I.R.R., a person named Chantell, I advised her of the hotel we wanted to stay at. I chose it from the hotel list located at the website I was directed to by I.R.R., cancunonsale.com. I was told the hotel I chose was booked, but I could get V.I.P. treatment if I paid them another $300. I advised her that I was told that if I booked more than 45 days in advance, availability should not be an issue. So, now I am alerted that the original discount amount of $398, is just a scam to get you to book the trip and now they can extort more money out of you!!

I told her I wouldn't pay the extra $300. So, she said she would talk to her supervisor into just charging us "only" an additional $200. She came back on the phone and told us her supervisor agreed to just an additional $200. And "what is this V.I.P. treatment" she mentioned? I asked if it was an upgraded room. She said no, it is just so we can get a room because the hotel was an "upgrade".

This was another misrepresentation, as we were told that for $398 it included all the hotels at the website, www.cancunonsale.com. And then she told me I had to attend a 90 minute "timeshare" meeting. This was never represented to me when I initially booked the trip. I hate those "high pressure" timeshare presentations! All I wanted is a relaxing trip to Cancun!!!

Then, I started shopping online the prices of other well known and established hotels in Cancun. I found out the price we paid is no bargain. For around $100/person, there are lots of options for an "all inclusive" vacation at several hotels. Especially during the time I wanted to travel. I also found out this allegedly "upgraded hotel" we were being charged extra for, has some really bad reviews from previous customers and did not have some of the amenities it was advertising.

I am now in the process of having my credit card company charge back I.R.R. for what they charged me for a "misrepresented" vacation. I am going to book my own hotel through one of the major websites, i.e. bookit.com, hotels.com, or travelocity.com, etc. I encourage everyone to not use I.R.R. or you will be terribly disappointed!!
