ITT Tech ITT Technical Institute Let me take classes that were not paid for, then wanted me to pay out of pocket after I was done! Swartz Creek, Michigan

I am glad to see I am not alone in my feelings of anger at this "Institute" and towards myself for falling for their scam.

I agree 100% with everyone here. During my time at ITT for my Associates degree in Networking, I dealt with out dated computers and technology. I was in classes from 2008 to 2010, they were still using Windows XP and Server 2003. 2003!! Tell me what employer is going to be using 7 year old software, when Server 2008 has been available for 2 years! We were given hard drives to store our work and the different operating systems. The only problem with that is, all the hard drives are locked and cannot be removed without a key. So you had to track down a instructor that actually had a key. Most of the time, no one seemed to be able to find a key so that you could do your work.

Teachers seemed to care more about their reviews than the students. I had a networking class where ALL of the students were left clueless, feeling like we learned nothing, which would be true. Yet somehow, we all got A's!! Wow, that was easy! Too bad I didn't learn anything!

Many evening classes were unsafely overcrowded. People sitting on the floor! We were herded like cattle into there "classrooms."

What really screwed me over was their handling of my financial aid. I was put on extened enrollment, meaning I should have been finished with my degree but I was still short on some credits. I solely blame myself for that, no one else. I went through a horrible divorce, that I did not want. So I had to take some time off from school.

Well apparently if a student is on that "extended enrollment" they cannot receive federal loans to pay for the classes they take. So they must find the money on their own. After sitting through almost an entire semester, and I mean the 8th week of a 12 week semester, I was informed my loans were never put through. I now owed almost $6,000 for this semester I just sat through to ITT Tech! They did not tell me this before classes started, no, they wait until I am to far in to back out of the semester. My credit is in shambles and cannot get a private loan to finish my degree, and pay them back.

So here I sit, 5 classes from an Associates Degree, and I can't finish thanks to their screw up!!!
