Last week I went to the local Kwik Kar here in Carter Ranch. I spoke to the manager Chris about another local shop looking at my Suburban for repair work. He kindly referred me to Scott his mechanic. I need several services including some 02 repair work. He told me it would be about 4-500 max for everything. Both he and the manager were very helpful. I asked Chris if he would take some down and let me pay the balance or do they have a instore credit. He told me he would would work with me and assured me that Scott was good and my truck would be done right.

I came back in the following week; Chris was gone and this woman ( who appeared to be from the middle east ) and also smelled of BO. She told me that it would cost 80.00 for Scott to look at my truck ( after I got the quote) and all would have to be paid in full. And now the quote was closer to 800.00 cause of some "additional parts". On top of that she was very short and rude tone in her voice. There was no payment and she told me " I am the owner and dont do that". I heard on the phone telling someone (referring to me) this guys is nuts.... who do these people think they are in Celina."

That was it! I got up and asked the guy to move my car out before any work and went to to another shop. I am very upset that I was told a price by the mechanic, told I could work with them and live down the street. I dont take kindly for people to share my business in ear shot of a customer nor will I be insulted about where I live. There are other places to go and I strongly suggest you do so. No wonder they are never busy. And last of all I will not be giving any of my hard earned money to some broken English Middle Eastern smelling bad person. Not racist at all but if the shoe fits. I did get the work done locally for about 390. Beware of where your money is going.

Great Experience

My daughter's car broke down right in front of Kwik Kar at Carter Ranch, which we thought was very lucky.  They helped her push the car into their facility and told her it was the clutch and they would give her a quote the next day.

I went online to research about how much I should expect the quote to be and what work should be done.  I was expecting a quote of around $1000.

The called back and said the repair would be about $350. 

When I went online to look up their phone number I came across this Ripoff Report and was terrified about what was going to happen when I went and picked the car up.

When I got there, I was also helped by the owner, and she was extremely nice and upbeat to me.  The manager came in and said they got the work done faster than originally quoted, and the bill only came to $260 - including a lube/oil/filter with synthetic oil.  They explained everything that was done, told me about some other isses they found while doing the work and told me there was no hurry to get it done, they just wanted me to know.  They also gave me a 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty on the work they did.

I'm not disputing the validity of Service Avenger's report, maybe the owner was having a bad day, we all have them.  But, I had a very different experience, even going in expecting the worst.  Hopefully I won't have to go back, because that would mean my daughter's car is having more problems, but I would definately go back to Kwik Kar if I needed to.

Oh, and I didn't even need a nose plug...

Wrong

I have been a customer at the Van Alstyne location from the time they opened up and have visited the Celina store few times as well. I have taken my own truck as well as my familys cars there for repairs and regular services. I have had nothing but a good honest service there. The prices have been reasonable and both their mechanics provided me with honest openions on what needed to be done. I have met both owners and despite the racist remark of this mistery customer, and generalizing of any hard working person from another country, i did not smell any BO. I think you have a personal issue with them and sound like the things your saying are based ona  personal issue. So by just reading what you have put down, I think your making up the crap you talking about. These guys have been in business long enough to know not to disrespect a customer. 

To Steve- You and your wife are doing a good job. Keep it up and dont let stupid people like that discourage you all. God bless and have a good day.

    Not enough info for one,and then the threats by kwik kar or what ever they are called are nothing but scare tatics.You can't prove that these people don't exist other than the fact you didn't do the work so there would be no paperwork,that in it's self does not make them a liar.

   I think it would be important for all to remember that not everyone sees things the same way and it's hard to get to the truth without all the facts.Also when people start making threats,then all of a sudden no ones care about the truth anymore.

   But then that's just me and my thoughts.

To all our valued Kwik Kar of Celina and Van Alstyne customers.  Kwik Kar of Celina neither has any records of such customer nor has ever received any report of such customer from anyone. Kwik Kar has one of the most advance customers tracking and service history records system that records all activities of the daily operation on minute to minute basis including one of the most sophisticated CCTV Audio and Video Recording systems. Kwik Kar will challenge anyone whom can prove otherwise. We strongly believe the report was made by one of our former disgruntle employees that was terminated due to theft and fraud. Not to be specific from one of our Kwik Kar locations Van Alstyne or Celina trying to scam and defraud the Kwik Kar and could have spend the next 15 years in a federal penitentiary if Kwik Kar of Van Alstyne or Kwik Kar of Celina would have elected to prosecute his / her actions. The funny thing about his / her report is that he / she knows so many details about the daily operation of the Kwik Kar. Most of our customers do not know if Kwik Kar of Celina is corporate or privately owned or if it is owned by one or more individuals let alone knowing their full names how many they are and making sure to throw their names out. He / she knows all the owners full first and last names with the correct spelling even though they have a very uncommon and hard to spell names. He / she also know the other employees name. He / she knows  Kwik Kar of Celina owners own more than one Kwik Kar locations and had made sure to point that out. Another irregularity is that the owners Steve Morakabian and Shazia Morakabian are investors, they do not run the daily operations of the Kwik Kar, they are absentee owners and they hardly spend time at the Kwik Kar of Celina. My dear imaginary customer I would like  to remind you that making false accusations, making fraudulent claims and misrepresentation is a criminal offense and it is punishable by law and  Kwik Kar will prosecute and press criminal charges against you or any other individuals who tries to fabricate false stories and make up fraudulent claims for personal gains.
