I contacted lexington law firm to help me with a credit issue after I recieved my credit reports I had a question to what one of the collections was for. So I called the creditor and spoke to someone in their office and found that I could resolve the issue on my own and no longer needed lexington law firms help.
I then canceled my account at lexington law firm through an online chat with a representitive and he told me he would contact the billing department and let them know I wished to cancel at that time he ended the chat.
A few days latter I was billed $99.00 when I contacted them about it thay stated that thay had earned the money by compiling my report when infact thay had never recieved any of my credit information and had only sent me e-mail concerning what I needed to do to start the process . Thay told me that I would not get my money back and then hung up on me.

many law firms will offer a "free preliminary consultation" where they basically explain what they can do for you. But after that, anytime you talk to one of their lawyers the meter is usually running.
I have had situations where I tried to buy real estate but the deal died. I was still billed for the time I spoke to the attorney on the phone.
