Magic Kids & Company has not remitted payment for a test purchase that I made. I am a "so called Dealer" for Magic Kids & Company. After paying the dealer signup fee, I received a dealer certification with my name misprinted. I contacted Magic Kids support but never received a corrected certificate. They provided a listing of advertising leads but most of them were out of business or I was unable to contact them. After six months of no sales response to advertising campaigns, I decided to have a friend make a purchase from Magic Kids through my internet site using the assigned dealer code to test the integrity of Magic Kids. To my surprise, I received the order and the clothing looked fine (I have not tested the sizes yet). The order posted on the report page as a sale under my dealer code. The Commission column showed $9.58 with a status of Unpaid. As yet (almost two months later, I have not received the commission payment for my share of the sale. Also, Magic Kids recently started selling Christmas ornaments with no notification to me "one of their Dealers" that this was available.

I contacted Magic Kids support twice stating my concerns about the way the dealer codes are entered and the lack of support from their company. Once was about six months ago and again about two months ago. They said they had never had a complaint from anyone else but they would forward my suggestions to management. I have heard nothing else from them. I have not received any updates from the company since I became a "dealer" almost a year ago.

I cannot say this company is truly a scam but I can say the Dealership support is all but non-existent and I feel I have been betrayed by Magic Kids & Company. I have shutdown my web site because I do not want to get a reputation that matches there seeming lack of customer and dealer support.

Magic Kids USA seems legitimate...

AUTHOR: Thomas - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 03, 2007

Magic Kids USA seems legitimate. Please see my comments in the Rebuttal section. I withdraw and reduce my previous statements. I see no proof that Magic Kids USA is a ripoff. Support does not seem to be as strong as I would expect but under the correct business model, Magic Kids seems to be legitimate.

Magic Kids may be for real!

AUTHOR: Thomas - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 03, 2007

I wrote the related ripoff report and now I must at least give credit where credit is due. Magic Kids did send my commission check for the test sale that I conducted and the products received have proven to be of good quality.

The problem I perceived with poor dealer support still exists but may be improved. I have receive two mailings from Magic Kids offering other opportunities to increase sales. However, these opportunities always require investing more money into only the possibility of increasing sales.

I have now seen a couple of comments that lead me to believe that Magic Kids is not a ripoff or scam. If you already own a store front or operate a booth at a bargain shop or flea market, I can see how Magic Kids might be a good resource. The business model I was attempting was a web based business only and was not a good fit for the type of products and support provided by Magic Kids.

So, while I do not completely withdraw my remarks, I do wish to ensure my comment does not target Magic Kids as a ripoff or scam since they do seem to be a legitimate bussiness opportunity for the correct business model.

Magic Kids a great company!

AUTHOR: Billy - (U.S.A.)

I have been with Magic Kids for a couple of years now I must say they have been a pretty loyal company. Sometimes a little slow but that can be expected with all the orders they receive and have to ship out! The way they send out a commision check is that after you make up to a certain amount. Say someone makes a purchase of $100.00 you get 50% which is $50.00 they don't send a check until you at least make up to $25.00 or more.

So keep up the great work guy's!
