Upon entering a contract with this company , everything seemed to be on the up and up. They assigned work , i went and did it and was completely aware of the net 30 hold on pay. I have several other clients that had the same practice as Make Ready. I was covering my 60 mile radius and then i was approached about taking some work out of state where they had little or no coverage. I was asked to travel to West Virginia initially and then to Virginia and eventually into Kentucky.

I took the work with the understanding that expenses would be paid (fuel and hotel) and that i would not have to worry about charge backs for late work. Gina assigned all the work at the same time knowing that i would not be able to cover a four to five hundred mile route in three days especially since one day was going to be spent traveling to the first area of work assigned. I would work from sun-up to sun-down most days and then it was hard to get gina on the phone to pay for my hotel room.

Aside from that , most times it was difficult to get by a Lowes hardware and get her on the phone to pay for fuel cards which i could only get shell gas cards. Time spent waiting on the phone and for her to call back could have been spent actually working on what needed to be done. After a few days working , i started to get fee adjustments through my e-mail and i called her on it and she said to forward her the work order numbers and she would take care of it. I started to forward her all the fee adjustments i was recieving and nothing was done.

I called her on it again and she said i had to sit down and go through all the adjustments i had gotten and only send her a list of the work order numbers. What i dont understand is she was doing payroll at the time so she should have had that information already. As if all this was'nt difficult enough to deal with , i was due my first paycheck and it did'nt come. I was running tight on finances depending on getting paid on time from them and i was doing all i could do and i got a call from Don , the owner of Make Ready , and he proceeded to cuss me out and wanted to know what the f**k my problem was and why i was holding work so late and i mentioned that i had'nt gotten paid yet and he cussed at me evn more and accused me of "oh is that what it is??!!

Not paid yet so you quit working??!!" and i said no that's not it at all but i do need money to keep running. To date , they have back charged me 394.30 for the past month. I hurt my back on a job and had to take it easy for a little while so they put me on standby until i called them to start taking work again. I called them a month ago and i was due my first check on 9/26 after my net 30 again. Out of $676 dollars that was due to me after back charges and some other charge that i have yet to find out what , that left me with $68.26. I called Don on it and all he wanted to do was cuss me and call me names and be a smart a**.
