This guy, possibly named "Frank" or "Don", runs a business called Make Ready Llc. He will promise you lots of money, but all I ever got from him, was bull. He sent me to 3 jobs, with work orders, to take pictures of bank repos. His voice mail was full, so I was unable to call him.

He called me the following day, and said I didn't know what I was doing.

He insisted on me taking 2000 pictures of each property. I have done this work, previously, for 2 other companies. They never require 2000 pictures per property. He was only willing to pay $20 to do this. That is before taxes, and before the new lock he makes you buy, for the property. He yells most of the time, and makes irrational statements. I opted to bail on this guy, because he doesn't, in my opinion, know what he is doing. I feel he is trying to scam people in to doing his dirty work, then he might not even pay. He likes to bring up how your pay could be cut, if he or the bank, don't like your work. If you take 2000 pictures, and he doesn't like 2 of them, would that mean a pay cut? He wanted 200 pictures of the yard, alone.

I guess he wanted me to take pictures of each blade of grass, and give the GPS coordinates of them, too. I would never work for this guy. He likes to rush the jobs, and insists you only have one to 2 days to get them done. Yet, when he sent me the first 3 jobs, he told me there was no way I would be able to complete them in that time frame, but still said they must be done by then. He contradicts himself, frequently. Or, at least he did so when talking to me. Another contractor I know, went through the same thing with this guy, and opted to quit on him, immediately. If you work for him, expect him to yell at you for no reason.

Some of the email addresses he uses are:
makereadyllc@gmail.com
makereadytechsupport@gmail.com
propertypreservationwnc@gmail.com
Doncaudle@gmail.com
office@apsreo.com

I believe he is 44 and his birthday is June 17, 1966.  He probably works out of his home in, or around Ruffin, NC.
The link to his web site is:  http://makereadyllc.com/
He operates in Virginia and NC.

Warning to others who are thinking of working for Make Ready

AUTHOR: WEGESE2215 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, June 29, 2012

Since I last posted on this site, I have spoken to another person who worked for them.  He was a tow truck driver, who formerly worked for them.  Without mentioning anything to him about the company, he told me a similar story to what I experienced.  He was told to take an unusually large number of pictures of the job, and had a hard time getting paid.  He was also treated very poorly, and yelled at for no reason.  If you like working for little or no pay, and enjoy being treated like trash, and yelled at by a vulgar idiot, feel free to work for that company.  If my only choice was to work for Make Ready, or work as a burger flipper for McDonalds, it would be an easy decision.  I would take the McDonalds job and would even be willing to take a pay cut, just to not have to get ripped off by Make Ready.

Make Ready so good!!!!! Whatever

AUTHOR: Drich26 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, June 29, 2012

These people contacted my company to do work for them. After reading the comments I am afraid to do anything with them. I read Tony's report about how the company is so good by providing him with so much work and paying you on time. Why is that so true for you and not for others that has done work for this company. Are you like some type of spoke person for these people or something? How we know that you're not trying to sucker companies in like Make Ready, llc are trying to do so that you all can scam some more good contractors out of money, work, and time. Please respond to my question. Thank You!

Make Ready, LLC is a Good Company

AUTHOR: Tony - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Hi my name is Tony!  I have worked for Make Ready for 10 months and I have had no problems getting PAID what so ever! Make Ready, LLC works in the same way as many businesses that I work for in this industry, 30 day net. What this means, for those who don't know, that you have to work a full 30days before you will see your first check. After the first 30days, you receive a check every week, even though the website states you will be paid on the 1st & 15th. Make Ready has kept me working through the winter months as wellThanks for the work..

The OTHER Side of the Story

AUTHOR: powerbab - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 15, 2010

Hello! I have worked for Make Ready for 8months and I have had no problems getting paid what so ever! Make Ready works in much the same way as many businesses do in this industry, net 30. This means, for those who don't know, that you have to work a full 30days before you will see your first check. After that, if you have not had any break in work over the first 30days, you receive a check every week. Also, if you have not bungled any job or not messed up on any job and completed it within their 48hr turn around time, you will be paid for the work. If you mess up a job and refuse to correct your mistake and the job has to be reassigned to someone who will do it, then of course you will not get paid for it!!! Who gets paid for something that they don't do? Make Ready does not require you to take 2000 photos and that is just absurd if you believe that. What Make Ready requires is that you take photos of before, during, and after of each task that is being asked to be completed on the work order. Its very simple and very easy to understand. I have seen many people who use to be in the  construction business try to turn to this kind of work because they think its easy cash and a lot of the time it fails because the person does not understand nor do they take the time to READ all of the info given to them when they are first hired. If they didn't understand something and they didn't ask, what does that tell you? All that I can say is that I have had NO problems working for Make Ready. The office staff there are friendly, more than willing to help you out in any way they can and will answer any of your questions.

Make Ready does ask for 2000 pictures.

AUTHOR: WEGESE2215 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 24, 2010

Make Ready did, in fact, request 2000 pictures for each job.  Insisting that 1000 pictures be taken before completion, and 1000 more be taken after completion.  I was told to take 200 pictures of the lawn.  The first 100 being before and the second 100 to be after the work was completed.  When Don was asked about the work, which was supposed to be done in between the picture taking, he just proceeded to yell about pictures.  He made no sense.  The other contractor I know, went through the same experience with Don.  He likes to feel important, so he yells for no reason.  The 2000 picture thing was very unrealistic.  I have done this very same work in the past, for other companies, and the never requested 2000 pictures of any property.  They also paid much better.  $20 is an insult.  And to make 2 trips to each property for that price, is total nonsense.  Then you will still be taxed at a contractor's rate, on that $20. I quit, because I could see it was a go nowhere job.
