Mobage FreeversePeriscopeDeNA NGMOCO Mobiage purchased a company called Freeverse.com, which manufactured a program called Periscope 1.5. I have been using this program for 8 years. I recently had to re-install the software when I discovered that it only works in demo mode. I entered the activation code, but the activation servers no longer exist. I'd like to make this program work, or get a refund for my $39.95. I'm not the only one either. Tokyo

*General Comment: New company, new rules.

New company, new rules.

New company owns it. New rules for using it. The new company may have purchased it, but THEY haven't been PAID for it. That was the OLD company that got paid for it. YOU got 8 years of use at $39.99. So if you wish to use it at FULL mode then YOU will have to pay for it again!! Its NOT a ripoff. Its BUSINESS!!! Mobage COULD have allowed the app to "die" then reintroduced it. But they didn't do that. No THEY did the OTHER THING. That was to allow you to continue to use it in DEMO MODE. If you wish to use the FULL VERSION you will have to pay THEM the NEW company. It ALWAYS amazes me at the lack of common sense OR logic in our average citizens. This IS NOT rocket science!!! A App needs constant maintenance, constant updates which means CONSTANT MONEY!!!! So what YOU are saying is that YOU expect and demand that the new company eat the costs associated with making this purchase but they are NOT allowed to charge for it? Seems a tad self entitled. Either pay for the full version again or find another one that doesn't cost as much. The NEW company is under ZERO obligation to honor ANYTHING the previous company has promised. Its simple business 101. New owner, new rules. STILL doesn't make it a ripoff.
