I set up a dedicated email on my server for Monster.com, a very popular job site. I did not check any boxes that would allow Monster.com to send me third party email, however 30 minutes after submitting my resume i was swamped with pornographic and sex related email! I waited 2 days before shutting down the email address, no job related info was ever received only s**t.

AUTHOR: Jason - (U.S.A.)

I have used Monster.com for posting jobs in the past and, much like you, set up a dedicated e-mail account for responses. Never have I receieved a single piece of spam on that account.

Two possibilities are that you normally would get alot of spam to that account as it had been used previously or that a catch-all address was set up to point to that account, so that any mail coming in to a nonexistant mailbox on that domain would go to that mailbox.
