These scammers sent me a notice after I bought my car claiming that it was important that I call them right away.  The notice looked like it came from the finance company or an affiliate of the fincance company. so I called them.

They asked me how many miles were on the car. and then they played the "take away" game.  The guy on the phone said he had to consult with his supervisor to see if I was still eligible.  I wondered, "eligible for what?"  Then another guy, allegedly the "supervisor" got on the phone and told me he could pull some strings and change my status to eligible for coverage.

At this point the first guy gets back on the phone and begins the pitch about the extended warranty on my car, and how I need to purchase this because the owners manual on my car states that the fuel pump will go out after I put just a few more miles on the car.  At this point I asked him who he was, and he said he was calling from "Motor Vehicle Services"  I asked him if he was affiliated with the finance company or dealer, and he launched into this explanation that he was from and extenced warranty service.

The price he quoted was ridiculous, so I said no, and he began with the standard scare tactics for meeting objections, and then began down-selling when I said I just couldn't afford it.

I finally hung up on him, but he called back within seconds.  I hit "ignore" on my phone, and he called back again within seconds.  I finally had to block the number, but I can see from my call blocker that they keep trying to call me .

I understand that this company is under investigation by the Missouri Attorney General.  I intend to contact that office and tell them my story as well.  I also intend to contact the Congressional representative for that district and inform his/her office about what's going on there.
