It's been almost a years since talking to Alice. She called me in regards to the Orange 1965 GTO for Rick Beaumont's son Sean... She received my phone # from Rick's wife, as our car club ( The Inland Empire GTO Club) was instrumental in getting the project up and running after Rick's health took a turn for the worst and he past shortly there after. Alice asked where particular parts for the car where since she received the car to work on it... I was floored, since I had pictures of the car before Muscle City received it with those parts having already been installed by us, either in or on the car....

I had asked her why she said those things about the work done on the car, she said she would change it, 10 months ago, but  it's still worded that way on the website that "The IEGTO Club got a good start on the car but they are going to finish it". Well let me tell you the pictures that are on her site is where we stopped working on the car (note car is on a trailer) when Rick's wife said she was going to "sell the car" when the club was finished with it, those words made more than a few of our members a little furious, as we spent many hours getting the car to that point. I personally made dozen of calls to contacts I had aquired from working at Muslce Cars USA, in Ontario,Ca (doors closed due to economic slump Sept 2008) I contacted High Performance Pontiac Magazine, that did 2 very nice write-ups about Rick Beaumont in 2 different issues. I was able to get more then 15k in parts, donated to the restoration, Custom wheels from American Racing, tires from Hurcules tire Co., Radio from Custom Autosound, $500. in parts from Ames Performance Engineering, $500. in parts from Year-One, Aluminum Radiator from Rodney-Red Radiators, Front Disc brakes from Classic Performance Products, the Beaumont's bought the rear brakes, Dynamat insulation, and the list goes on and on. The current paint scheme and color was picked out by Sean applied by Magnolia Street Auto Body of Ontario, Ca. and paided for by Rick's Mother....and the many labor hours that several club members spent at the Beaumont's home working on electrical issues, window and body panel alignment issues, etc.. in my opinion deemed more credit then just getting a good start....We installed the seats that we upolstered by Raul's Auto Trim, Ontario, Ca., a new driveshaft from REEL DriveLines, Pomona, Ca. after all this I would say we were at about 75% complete when we were hit with the mention of selling the car....Who in their right mind would want to continue donating there time for this project....and then to read the comments on Alice's website: " The Cars completion seemed to lack priority in perspective to Rick's passing" is just a slap in the face, you could'nt have found a more dedicated group of guys spending time they could've be spending with their own families with some driving as far as 30 miles....These comments are very hurtful to all of us that worked on this project and has kept us from wanting to volunteering on other such projects...

Please note: Other than the phone call I've had no dealings with Alice or her shop, but since my request was ignored in regards to her website and the remarks made about our club, I felt I needed to set the record straight...

I'm sure that once they are finished with the car it will look as nice as we all imagined it would be...

Sincerely, IEGTO Club

I in no way thought that the following words where hurtful.

The Inland Empire G.T.O Club Started the restoration. The Club donated a lot

of love, Good Faith, Parts and Hard Work.

So to set the record straight I was actually giving praise to your Club.

Your words of missing parts on the other hand where not so polite.

I refuse to get into unprofessional pissing matches on a forum. I think it is a bit how can I say it in a nice way "Childish" I still believe in taking care of business on a more personal level. So that being said to make you happy. I will have the entire car removed from the sight.

Look at the glass as 1/2 full and not 1/2 empty, read into the good and pass the bad the good is always nicer to read.

The Inland Empire G.T.O. Club started the restoration. The Club, donated a lot of love, Good Faith, parts and hard work. The passing of Mr. Beaumont was difficult for everyone who knew him. The cars completion seemed to lack priority in perspective to his passing. Alice Russell owner of Muscle Car City in Orange County appreciatesall the hard work that was started on the G.T.O. and believes that it's time to finish her up.
