I paid my long and short term disability premiums for 7 years. When I became sick at work due to toxic chemicals printing plant) and was declared disabled by both my general practitioner and a pulmonologist, some pencil pushing doctor at the Mutual of Omaha decided I wasn't disabled, even though he didn't bother to examine me. They refused to pay the short and long term disability, leaving me high and dry waiting for SSI. Don't bother paying premiums to this reip-off company - no matter how sick you are you'll never collect a penny.

If your written policy shows you have coverage for YOUR kind of disability

AUTHOR: Ken - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 27, 2012

and you meet all the terms for benefits, contact your states insurance commissioner,

This means you'll need to actually read the policy.

If it ISN'T covered under the written terms of YOUR policy, you're out of luck.

Good luck to you, but you've got to verify for yourself..
