Please see the letter below, to which they responded with an offer of 150 dollars for us to drop any and all complaints against them.

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is regarding your use of DT's QuickMove out of Dallas, TX. You recently used them for my move from Texas to Maryland. I am writing to inform you of some serious shortcomings and reasons you should reconsider their use as they reflect poorly on your entire organization.

First of all, the crew that picked up my items stole my wife's credit card. They claim that they will reimburse us, and they also claim that he was fired, but on a phone call to the company he answered the phone.

Furthermore, they are operating in violation of numerous sections of 49 C.F.R. 375 that regulates the operations of motor carriers transporting household goods between two states. Each of these violations carries a minimum 1100 dollars fine as per 49 U.S.C. 149. The violations are listed below along with the referenced regulation, all of which are under 49 C.F.R.

375.211 Arbitration- No notice of arbitration was given before execution of the order of service.

375.213 Pamphlet- No pamphlet Your Rights and Responsibilities was given at pickup.

375.503 Inventory- We did not receive an inventory until delivery, inventories are required to be given at loading.

375.505 Bill of Lading- We did not receive a BOL at pick up with any kind of identification numbers (for vehicles being used to transport) printed on it.

375.513 They did not give us an opportunity to observe the weighing of our articles. They are required to give the shipper reasonable opportunity to witness the weighing.

375.521 They did not provide us with a copy of the weight ticket within 24 hours of our request. They did not even provide a copy on delivery.

375.601 They did not make delivery within a reasonable period of time.

375.603 They did not deliver within the specified period agreed upon at pickup.

375.605 They did not notify us of any delays when the delay became apparent.

Furthermore, although they are listed as being insured through Evilsizor in North Richland Hills, TX, the vehicle/trailer that they used were not marked with any MC or USDOT identification numbers. This would invalidate any interstate shipping insurance that they are carrying as it does not cover the vehicle that they used to transport my goods.

This is a clear violation of the law as they are basically operating without insurance. The trailer license plate number has been reported along with the other violations in this list to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association, the government agency that has replaced the Interstate Commerce Commission in investigating and enforcing the violations of the laws governing shippers and transporters.

Please forward this information to all parties involved as it will also serve as notice that if further action is needed, we will not be using arbitration as no notice was given at the execution of the service order, thereby relieving us of any responsibility to uphold the arbitration agreement. If further action is needed it will take place directly through litigation.

Also, I do not appreciate the treatment of this situation by you customer service representative. Early last week a service rep named Kristy or Krissy (ext 316) called and left me a voicemail. It turns out that, had I answered, she was planning on allowing Derrick Taylor (the proprietor of QuickMove) to listen to our conversation without informing me of his presence on the line.

I know this because the incompetent employee forgot to disconnect from my line before continuing her conversation with Mr. Taylor. I now have a 3-minute conversation between her and Mr. Taylor discussing what terrible customers we are, about how we liars, and about how he hated talking to my wife on the phone so he had to hang up and not answer the phone for the rest of the evening.

I seriously doubt that you can legally allow a 3rd party to listen to a private call unless you notify the caller of the conversation being monitored or recorded. I would like to know how you plan on correcting this issue if it was a one-time occurrence (which I doubt).

If it is your policy to allow this, I am very disturbed, as now I believe that any time I call, even when discussing payments and credit card numbers, you service agent may be allowing another party to listen to the conversation. This truly concerns me because I now know that you company has a habit of hiring out moves to other companies that employ criminals.

Furthermore, please notify me of you plan of action regarding your future use of this organization. I expect that you take your business seriously, although it has yet to be seen in relation to this transaction.
