Neighbors Moving & Storage Neighbors : Lazy, Nasty, Agressive and not to be Trusted Pompano Florida

Neighbors moving and storage company representatives were nice when we called them for our moving needs. This was a simple job for my point of view and theirs; furniture (approximately 12 pieces) and 15 packed boxes; we took ourselves some stuff so we could save some money on the move as those companies charge by the hour. In addition, the elevator in both buildings was reserved specifically for our move, so the movers didnt have to wait due to other residents using the elevator, and we were moving to an apartment that is less than half a mile from the initial place. Having said this, they quoted for 3 movers an approximate time of 3 to 4 hours plus 1 hour described as transportation charge; we agreed with paying $94.00 an hour for a maximum total of $470.00 (5 hours); we asked them several times about other charges, and they were consisting and kept the promise that we were not going to have any problems with the final bill. The day of the move they were on time and everything looked fine. After the first 2 hours, my wife and I noticed that the movers were taking it real slow, for instance, they took one box at a time, took a lot of time to wrapped things up, took several breaks for smoking and cell phone calls and one of the guys never came up to the apartment and stayed in the truck the whole time organizing our items; so really we had only 2 people doing the move. Due to this, I politely decided to tell them if they could speed things up a bit since half of furniture was not moved out yet. After that moment their attitude changed completely; they became very nasty with us, cursing, and even told us that we should have rented a U-haul. We immediately called at the Pompano office, but they did not really care about how we were being treated by these people. After 3 hours we arrived to the new place which once again is less than 5 minutes from the old apartment. We do not know what Neighbors movers and the Pompano office talked between them, but when we arrived, they were even more aggressive, nastier and threatened us to stop the moving if we did not paid them a ridiculous amount of money up front in order to continue. Because my wife is pregnant and we really were very frustrated with the situation we were forced to pay them that amount, with the promise that the company was going to refund us for the time not used. They told us that they do that with people like us, annoying and a pain in the ****, they kept treating us like ****, I really regret I did not call the police. Of course, they took even more time to take things up, took even more breaks, and laughed at us with comments such as are you having fun yet?. We also had a lot of problems getting the refund back; Brian, the dispatcher at the Pompano office took several days to refund our money; we had to call the Miami office and our credit card to tell them what happened; otherwise I do not think they were really interested in giving us our money back. To sum up, they took 7 hours, plus several hidden charges as fuel surcharge, 18% on top of the total. I really regret I hired this terrible company for my moving (Pompano Office); I really hope people read this before hiring Neighbors moving and storage; they are nasty, aggressive, lazy and not to be trusted.
