I normally do a vacation for myself, now that my son is older i decided to do a family trip all inclusive.  The trip included my mom who is elderly, my son along with a friend and two other children.  When we arrived i was a little disappointed with the service and then to no avail the room was horrible. We ended up changing rooms three times.  Long story short we were asked to come and meet with the Vacation club staff and just see what the vacation club was about. We accepted even though i was ready to get on the next thing smoking. We explained our situation and they assured us that we would appreciate the vacation club.  We took a tour of the one bedroom and then was shown the villa.  Those were the only two rooms that we were shown.  Once we got back to disguss the price we were given the option of the one bedroom or the villa. We opted for the one bedroom and if we were satisfied we would upgrade at a later date.

To no avail we booked another trip to Dominican Republic and with lots of excitement we had the same run down room with a flat screen tv and a bed that didnt make u feel u were laying on the floor.  Once we settled in the following day i went up to the vacation club to speak with the manager and he told me thats what i signed for.  He told me that there were three options and i told him i was given two. unfortunately we were shown the fancy rooms and not the run down room and the one bedroom that we chose was for the vacation club not royal club.  I feel this was false advertisment. If we were shown that with the one bedroom we would basically get trash we would have never choosen that option but we got the glitzy part and was ripped off.  This happen in July and i am still waiting for a call back from someone, however they waist no time looking for a payment.  The manager also agreed the customer rep messed up and still nothing was done.

It is always best to hire someone skilled to do so, unfortunately in most cases these companies dedicated to cancel timeshares usually cheat for the second time to their customers since they are vulnerable and desperate. If you are thinking of hiring them you just have to make sure you do not have to make any payment upfront ... I found these articles that speak precisely about this, you should read them, that might help you to resolve many doubts:

Hi Mrs. Erika It is very unfortunate that happened to you, here at Occidental Vacation Club we care about our costumers and we would like to help you get through this. As of today, we serve more than 23,000 happy families who have entrusted to fulfill their vacation needs year after year. The club has been serving ever since 1993 while winning numerous prizes and recognitions within the hotel industry.

The thing is that the webpage www.occidentalgrandflamenco.com it's not an OVC official webpage, it is was made without our consent.

What happen is that here, at OVC, we manage our own room stock. The owner can choose a room with the exact same facilities as the model room he visited when the membership was bought. If you couldn't book a room like the one you visited there it should've been because of:

1. The room availability at the moment or 2. You tried to book in your owner week or in your bonus time.If by any chance the cause was number 2, the club rules establish that we cannot guarantee the club accommodation, so you're left with a normal room that does not include all the amenities and club perks.Once you become a member the only people you should talk is with one of our Client Services Managers.

We would like to talk to you in order to solve your problem, it would be very helpful if you can send me your info to steffi@occidentalvacationclub.com and we'll get in touch with you as soon as we can. Thank You and have a nice
day
