Pearle Vision Paid for something I did not receive Watertown , New York

I have new eye insurance and decided ; despite being given a positive referral elsewhere to utilize Pearle Vision as they were in the network for my insurance.  The exam and dr. were fine, the customer service was okay.  The issue is with when I picked up my glasses (over 200 dollars AFTER my insurance) I saw the lens and immediately asked what happened to the "micro thin" lenses I paid EXTRA for.  I have a higher prescription. 
I was told that they WERE Micro thin and the excuse between my old glasses and the new ones being SO different in thickness was that the prescription went up (not by that much) and the shape of the lens... the size is nearly the same . 
I expressed my doubt a couple of times and was dismissed. 
I have since gone to 4 different providers and EVERY single one of them; when asked what the thickness would be of a lens with my prescription (I gave them no information other than wondering the thickness prior to their response) I was shown a couple of different "options"   The one CLOSEST to mine is the STANDARD lens.  The microthins they have are the same if not slightly thinner than my old lenses. 

I am VERY unhappy with the fact that I was lied to and made to pay a LOT extra for this product that is not at all what I was sold.  I was also told on various instances that they (being Pearle Vision) never polished the edges which would make a difference as well.  It is a noticable difference between what I had before .  I am going to be waiting the next time and just go back to my hometown pracitioner .  If worse comes to worse... I will use WALMART vision center which have been GREAT for me.  Even though they dont accept my insurance... it still would be less expensive to order through them. 

I will definitley be spreading the word around the area I live and.. I DO have a high profile job and see quite a few people.  I also meet nearly all the families that relocate here to Fort Drum so ... will gladly tell them to steer clear of the AUL pollcies when purchasing a vehicle from ANYWHERE .
