I have a 1999 Suzuki Vitara with 93,000 miles on it. I went to there store to get an oil change on 7-26-02. it was advertised for $10 or $12. i was charged $18.67 for an oil change They charged me for an additional quart of oil.
A week later I am driving home my car starts to smoke and knock. I had to have it towed. I then called back to the store to speak to the manager of the store. I informed him that my motor was gone. The only thing that Marty told me was that it was out of there control. There was not anything that they could do about it.
I am very upset. Becuase I am still paying on my vehicle. I am to the point of calling the news media. I have been with out a vehicle for a week. It is very frustrating!!!!!

Can't Always Blame The Mechanic

Michelle, the mileage on your car is high enough that the engine could just have died from age. Unless the mechanics forgot to add the oil, I doubt it is their fault. I think you need to give us more info, like exactly what was wrong with the engine. And, perhaps if the oil filter was not tightened properly. But honestly, I think it was just a coincidence.
