Complaint Review: Priceline
When bidding for a choose your own price, only two hotels with the correct Stars and Amenities were listed in my "area". Both were within a mile of where I wanted to be, so I booked it.
The hotel they booked was not on their list and was at the very edge (fartherest) point from where their other hotels were.
Within two minutes of booking I had customer service tell me "too bad", and customer relations agent tell me no way they would change it ever after I eplained that walking in this area after dark would endanger my life. No sympanthy, they only want the money. Customer service was not in US of course.
I offered to upgrade and pay more for a different area, but they had my credit card. Since they don't take American Express, I should have know better.
Now I have to wait for posting and see if VISA will let me dispute the charge. No service rendered and notification that they did not deliver what was displayed.
This company and its business pratices should be outlawed in the US. Very much a bait and switch.
