I was in so deep that I was going for my Life and Health classes next weekend in Toledo. I was using it as an internship to finish up my B.B.A. I was actually recruited by a friend who knew I was having trouble finding jobs for after graduation.

I was almost ill when I found out what I was really involved in. I should have known too because I had a very funny feeling that the whole situation was not right. Here are these people preaching to me about ethics and Christian values when they are committing illegal insurance practices.

These people prey on college students and graduates, and they know how to do it well. They have been trained on exactly what to say. However they cannot answer a direct question. When I asked how much someone was getting paid I was told, "My company take good care of me." I was told to say the same if someone asked me.

In the end I've lost $200.00, but I'm glad I found out about the whole scam when I did. As advice to others...if someone asks for money up front and wants you to sign contracts at late hours in the evening...DON'T!

you have to be licensed by the state of Michigan

AUTHOR: Jason - Primerica Rep. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 13, 2004

I am unsure about other American States, but to be a Primerica Financial Services Rep in Michigan, you have to be licensed by the state of Michigan in the area you are working - whether it be insurance, securities, etc.

With having to be licensed, and also being regulated by the state, your statement is libelous towards those of us legitimate Primerica representatives. I work through an excellent home office, and I assure you that we look out for our CLIENTS first.

Also, you say you have lost $200. The $200 that you claim to have lost would have provided you I imagine with a State Insurance License, and whether you wished to work for the company or not after obtaining your licensing requirements -Primerica Financial Services would reimburse you your expenses for getting licensed. I've done it myself, I know how it works.

So in the end, you know nothing of the company as you didn't even take your licensing requirements according to your post. The $200 (at least in Michigan, i assume Nationwide) covers the education and testing needed to be licensed by the State to sell Life Insurance. You would have also been reimbursed this amount once your licensing was completed.

All I know is that I personally do not do anything illegal, and neither do any of my associates. We are dedicated to our clients, and making them debt-free and on the path to financial independence. Please, if you didn't even go beyond a company overview, then do not use libel against those of us honest businessmen out there.

P.S. - In a company with over 100,000 representatives, there are bound to be a few bad apples. If this was the case, you need to call the Primerica Home Office, and report what happened in your situation. I assure you the situation would be handled promptly.
