I was force to take out insurance on my storage unit.In May of 2010 i rented a unit from Public Storage. I was told that i needed to purchase insurance on my property.I ask why and i was told for the first month it was required, and that i could cancel anytime after. So i paid for two months. In july i decided to cancel the insurance,on july 31,2010 I went into the office and cancel the insurance while i was there i also paid on my storage. I gave the customer rep 42.00 for the month of August.IN Sept i went on line to make my payment for that month and found out .

That the rep did not credit my account for August, and they wanted me to come up with payment for August and September plus interest.I tried too contact the manager. He would not return any of my calls.I went into the office and show them my receipt for the month of July.In July i had made two payments ,the first payment was made online. The second payment was made in person. These people lock me out of my unit, for the month of August.I found out later that the rep had stolen  my 42.00 for her self.Meantime i'm doing everything i can to get intouch with the manager. On Sept 5/2010

I finally heard from him.I told him what his employee have done to me.How she stole my money and refuse to let me on the property.Later on in the same month of September i went to my unit.Only to find out that they had broken into my storage. And taken some of my items, plus damage some of my things. They claim there was a break in.This explain why they would not let me in my unit. Because they had stolen some of my property and was trying to cove their behind.

They did not have a police report, and did not noitify me of the breakin. Now they are telling me that they are not responsible for the breakin because i cancel my insurance.I want to know how can they get away with this.It was one of their employee who stole my money.Which led up to the breakin. They are trying to hide behind a clause that is in the contract. That say they are not responsible for any breakin.I feel they should be held accountable  for their employee.I want justice for what they did to me.I was a client and we had an agreement.
