Quibids appear to have robotic bidders in their auctions.  Many times (so called bidders) bid 4-5 times the amount of item-which was a redflag.  They have a second countdown-many times it ended prior to zero countdown-on more expensive items it goes over the designated countdown-which keeps the auction open and more people bidding.  Many times I went to bid and it shut me out of quibids and I had to sign in again and by then the auction was closed.   These are unfair practices and methods which should not be allowed in Online Auctions.  Also, same bidders keep winning auctions, -which would be acceptable, but they have a policy of only so many wins per day, (3) but the same people win multiply auctions, all day long.

Also, it appears that the same bidders, zero in on you when you are bidding for high end auctions-they team up until you drop out or run out of bids.  This would be understandable if these people-this group (Robotic Bidders) didn't constantly win all day.  Again, this goes against their 3 wins per day-per person rule.  This is why I feel that this Auction site should be investigated for rigging the bidding process on their auctions.

Business practices

Those practices are indeed unfair, which is why we do not take part in them.  We do not have bots or shills of any kind as it is against our policy.  We've had this set in place since our launch (Oct. 2009).  Every auction on our site is customer driven, so the outcome depends solely on the customer(s).  As far as bidding up to the retail value of the item, you have to take into account the number of voucher/free bids that are being used.  We do not allow people to bid over the retail price if they're using their paid bids. In the event a user is bidding up to that amount, we have a warning that pops up suggesting they utilize the Buy it Now.

You are correct - we have a daily win limit of (3). However, voucher bid auctions do not count towards this daily win limit.  So in essence, someone can then win more than (3) auctions/day.

We pride ourselves in the way we conduct our business, both ethically and morally.  If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Get some screen shots..

If what you state is true and you can document it, you can have this site shut down.

Unfortunately there is little to no regulations with these penny auction sites, which operate much more like online gambling sites. I do not even know at this point in time if they are breaking any laws by using shill bidders or bots..even if they claim they are not. They seem to be getting away with it even though they follow no ordinary rules of a legitimate auction..or an online gambling website.

From a business standpoint, it would make sense as with any gambling, the house benefits by as many members losing as possible. So if you were using this business model and had no ethics or conscience...why not shill a little?

Problem is, this is tough to prove.

However, if you can document that their own rules are being broken by the per per day being limited to 3, and you can prove any one player has in fact won more then 3 per day...it is a slam dunk. The screen shots will conclude the investigation.
