I purchased an armoir. The right door is not balanced. Had a new one delivered, but before it was taken off the truck, I looked at it and the doors were even more unbalanced. I advised Rooms to Go that I had to have a late evening appointment or on a Saturday. RTG say they are only in my area 2 days a week and they only work to 5 pm. Told them that was a problem because I work 35 miles from home and can't be there. Basically was told I could not cancel or return my order. Customer Service would not give me the number of address of the corporate office. I asked for their attorney's name and Keisha refused to give that to me as well. Said if I was an attorney, I would know how to reach the corporate office. I told her I do know how to reach the corporate office......which is to contact the Secretary of State, find out who their registered agent is, etc. I asked Keisha as a courtesy would she give me the informaiton and she said no, I cannot give you that information. Thanks a lot Rooms to Go. I am now having to take the long route in obtaining the name of RTG attorney thanks to RTG customer service claiming that they cannot give out that information. I'll post a follow up once I have had a response from corporate. I suspect I will have to get my lawyer to write them as they will most likely ignore my correspondence. Fortunately for me, I work for a lawyer so it won't cost me anything. Star Furniture has never and I mean never treated me in this manner and Star Furniture has NEVER delivered any damaged furniture to me. Guess the old saying is true......you get what you pay for. RTG sucks and I will never do business with them again regardless if this claim is resolved to my satisfaction or not. I will definitely deal with a more reputable company.

If you want to get results, go to roomstogo.com. At the bottom of the main page there is a blue HELP icon. Under that, it lists customer service first. Click on that. On the next page, click on ONLINE SUPPORT. Type a letter and address it to PRESIDENTIAL. I guarantee that will get you more help than threatening an attorney because the first mention of an attorney in ANY coversation no matter who or what company you're dealing with and they will shut down on you.

Now as for your issue with the armoire. Most problems with doors not shutting properly or other alignment issues generally stem from not being on level surface. When I say level, the smallest surface variance can cause a bind because the opening is being forced out of square. An easy fix, (though most people still want to blame in on poor quality) is put a shim under one or more feet of the piece that's giving you the problem. Much of Rooms To Go furniture is manufactured in the same factories as other well known name brands and rooms To Go actually owns many plants that manufacture furniture for other retailers so unless you can afford to pay an arm and a leg for a sofa, your getting the same quality anywhere you go. That's just what happens when consumers want goods at a low cost and delivered today.

Also, don't forget, the warehouse Rooms To Go currently ships to Houston from is in Dallas. You may say "that's not my concern" however, it became your concern when you chose to do business with them. Believe me, they want to help you but until they open a wareouse in Houston, it may take a little patience on your part. You signed a bill of sale that not only holds Rooms To Go responsible, it also holds YOU responsible to a certain degree even though to have every right NOT to do business with them again.
