Sensible Home Warranty Alexis Sensible Home Warranty Air Conditioning SCAM - UNSCRUPULOUS COMPANY! Sparks, Nevada

This complaint concerns a home warranty issue with Sensible Home Warranty who claims as their business address Sparks, NV.  I took the policy out with them in August 2010.   I filed a claim to repair my house air conditioner in August.  A vendor came in a day or two, replaced a capacitor and found that the coil was leaking.  They needed authorization to continue the repairs and submitted an estimate to Sensible Home Warranty.  The company would have to pay the vendor approximately $900 to complete the repair.  They would not authorize the repair until I submitted the last three years of service records dating back to 2008 which is before I took the policy out with them.  I submitted the paperwork and after a week of them claiming some was lost and to resend I was told their "underwriters" would not accept what I submitted.  It is obvious that this company relies on subtleties contained in the policy that allows them to scam their customers and deny paying claims.  I attempted to call someone from upper management and was only able to obtain a voicemail with the message that I would receive a call back.  This never happened.  They appear to use Nevada to protect their operation because the owners appear to be in New York and service calls are routed to New Jersey.
