Shari's Berries ProFlowers ProPlants Personal Creations Gifts.com Ridiculous Shipping Charges

Around 10 days before Mother's Day 2018, I decided to buy some chocolate covered cookies from Shari's Berries based on an email recived from PayPal.  I registered with the Shari's site and ordered the cooklies for $34.99 and $2.99 for a gift tag.  Since in the past I have had problems with ProFlowers (at the time of this order, I was not aware that they are one and the same), I decided to have the cookies delivered the day before the holiday, I've been disappointed so many times in the past with flowers and such arriving a week before or late!  I chose PayPal for payment and was shocked when returned to Shati's home page that I was charged $68.87!  The breakdown from the email reciept:

Product - $34.99

Gift Tag - $2.99

Standard Delivery - $14.99

Saturday Delivery - $9.99

Rural Area Carrier Surcharge - $3.99

Tax - $1.92

So the cost to ship was $30.89 and the package arrived on Friday so the charge for Saturday delivery was just a rip off!  I will not be using Shari's or related companies ever again.  They also email bomb you daily even after unsubscribing to them.  I responded to their request for review and it was never posted on their site, it was not flattering, but they are so proud of themselves.

This is a warning to all, DO NOT use this company and forget about complaining, the only choice is to cancel your order while you have the chance as all methods of recourse are blocked by foreign (Non-English speaking agents) and no internet options as their process does its thing ... ripping you off!  The product may be OK, but the whole experience is miserable and expensive.  I put up with this because it was for Mom.
