I ordered a 6-inch Spicy Italian sandwich from the Subway at Van Ness and Fell on Thursday, December 8th, 2011. It contained lettucce, tomato, cucumber, peppers, avocado, and American cheese. I purchased the sandwich at 7:30pm.

I returned home and finished my meal by 8:15pm. Between 8:30 and 8:45pm, I began vomiting. The vomiting continued every 15-20 minutes for the next 10 hours, getting progressively more violent until about 3:00am. I ran a high fever during this time, and also experienced diarrhea that was completely liquified. It was physically the absolute worst night of my life.

It has been 48 hours since the initial attack of vomiting, and I am still recovering. I had never before experienced any kind of sickness to this degree. I am suffering from dehydration and overwhelming head aches from my loss of fluids. I have missed work, and been bedridden since the occurrence.

food poisoning doesn't set in within 15 minutes of eating a meal. The bacteria has to have time to grow and infect you. Did you go to the doctor? If you were that ill, you should have gone and had it confirmed as food poisoning. Did you contact the subway and see if anyone else complained? It wouldn't be an isolated incident for you to have food poisoning.

Purchased sandwich at 7:30. Eat it by 8:15. Symptoms at 8:30.Except it takes longer than 1 hour for symptoms of food poisoning to appear. It's 12-24 hours. So if indeed it was food poisoning it wasn't from the Subway sandwich. Did you go to the hospital? That's the only way to confirm food poisoning.
