We have had only one customer named Tom in Virginia Beach:

The tone and content of your emails are crude, rude and offensive. Kindly read the below for context and reply:

There are four clear links inviting purchasers to read our shipping terms on our hydroxide chemicals sales page, including this large, prominent statement:

Shipping Information:
Items will be neatly packed and are processed and shipped on a weekly schedule
upon completion of payment or upon completion of "lye release", if needed.
Read our shipping info, etc. (link)

Please take note that our hydroxide chemicals sales page and our shipping terms specifically state:
"Allow 15 days before considering your order overdue"

Also stated are the customer contacts that may be expected while an order is processed and:
"...Please note that if you send an early status inquiry and it goes unanswered, it is not due to lack of concern on our part, but is instead a matter of reserving proper attention for all orders in process, including yours."

Kindly note that we've experienced a relatively sudden over-ten-fold increase in orders for hydroxide chemicals from "hydroxy" group members. As I'm sure you can imagine, there's a huge difference between handling fifty orders and five hundred orders in any relatively short time.

If we were to have answered each of the many, many emails we've received in the last thirty days ( 1, 721 of them as this is written, to be exact ), we would have had no time to pack and ship any orders at all. Our telephone answering system fills to capacity in just an hour...

This has caused serious disruption to our ten years' long-standing business and extra delays for our usual customers as well as for our many new customers outside of our normal customer base.

Kindly understand that this is NOT "growing pains". Instead, this is inundation by a thousand unsolicited, unexpected orders from people outside of our usual customer base who have no interest in soapmaking. This occurred because of just one link to our website posted at their automotive-interest discussion board, then passed on to other similar boards around the country and the world - none of them soapmakers. The result bears more resemblance to a classic online "denial of service attack" than it does "growing pains".

This increase is entirely due to orders from the Hydroxy interest groups.
We can only trust that the same folks who caused this backlog might be considerate enough to tolerate same.

We are working as hard as we can to process new orders (as many as 40+ per day) and ship orders to catch up . We are not there yet, but we will be. We apologize for your inconvenience caused by this situation.

Because you felt free to insult us and threaten to reverse your credit card payment, we have elected to cancel the shipment in process to you and refund your purchase...
