When I first contacted the moving company, they offered a reasonable quote for moving and storing my possessions. I made a down payment and subsequent monthly storage payments thereafter for the three months I was away.

When I returned, the manager without reservation told me that I owed the company more money and that he would hold my possessions for ransom until I paid him more money to get my stuff out of storage. I was furious.

I had what I thought was a contract but in actuality, it was just a quote and had little meaning. This was before I went to law school and knew more about remedies for unfair trade practices. I had to pay the movers much more money than previously agreed upon to remove my things from storage.

Don't be fooled by these guys. They do this to consumers all the time. There were actually several complaints against them after my episode. But the complaints never went further then a minor broadcast at a local news station. Superior had paid the consumers off and that was the end of that.

A friend of mine also had the same problems with Superior. Don't trust these guys. They will act very friendly and nice at first and then when, at the conclusion of your storage term, they will force you to pay more to get your items back. Superior is good for something, it's good for ripping people off!!!
