Below you will read an online review I left regarding the service I received from Superior Moving and Storage. Becasue of this I received a certified letter threatening me with a lawsuit!

DO NOT USE!!!
I used these guys based on the reviews. We'll all was OK at first. The office had told me they would stay in contact with me while the driver was in route so I would know when to leave so I could arrive at my destination in order to let the driver in my house.  The problem started after load up.

So, after they take my furniture on September 30th, I call the office to get an estimate on when my furniture would arrive. My destination was about 1000 miles away so I expected good communication so I could plan my trip to meet them on time. On the 1st of Oct. they inform me that it would be Oct 3rd or 4th.  I decide to wait at the in-laws house until I get a firm date that my furniture is supposed to arrive. This is when the problems seriously begin for me. Throughout the ordeal the office was VERY POOR at communicating with me. One person would tell me to call the driver and the driver would tell me that he wasn’t allowed to give dates and that the office would tell me when to expect my furniture.

So, I have to call the office and I find out On Oct 2nd, by the office that my furniture was supposed to arrive on the night of Friday, Oct 4th or the morning of the 5th and that I would be expected to be there to let the driver in. Remember that I am in Virginia and am moving about 1000 miles away to Homestead, Florida so it will take me a couple days for me to drive to my destination. I hurry up and pack and leave on the morning of Oct 3rd.

I get 400 miles out and I call the company office to get an update and the person then tells me it's going to be another 3 or 4 days and that my furniture would not arrive until Oct the 7th or the 8th!! Of course I lose it and tell them that's not acceptable because I'm already on the road and almost half way to my destination. I later that day speak to the office "manager" (or someone supposedly in charge) and she tells me the driver picked up some more stuff and had to drop off mine last because of my location. THIS WAS AFTER THEY PROMISED ME A FIRM DATE THE PREVIOUS DAY ON THE PHONE! During the conversation I ask to speak with the owner and she said he would call me at the end of the day. He never did and after calling her back she broke the final straw by telling me she got permission from the owner that if I pay $1500 in cash then the driver can drive an additional 150 miles to drop my furniture off at a guaranteed date of a day early on Oct 6th!!! But it gets worse. After receiving no communication from them with any more firm dates I CALL THEM on the morning of Oct 7th. They inform me that the driver is about 30 miles out and if I am not there when he arrives that they would charge me more money while he is standing by and that they wouldn’t unload until I pay them this in cash! IMO, they basically were holding me hostage. I was going to call the police to have them arrested for possession of my property if they tried that. THEY DIDN’T EVEN CALL ME TO GIVE ME HEADS UP!!! So, I jump in my car and drive like mad to get there before the driver.
Bottom line is that IMO, they are horrible. I cannot IMAGINE a worst moving experience and I have moved over a dozen times. Also, several items were damaged and they scratched the wood floors in several places when moving in. They sent me a claim form and agreed to give me a whopping $25.00 for damages and I had to get the form notarized!!! How are you going to get a wood floor repaired for $25? Wasn't even worth it to me. To top it off, the owner would NEVER even get on the phone with me because and filtered his comments behind the ladies in his office.

I don't care what reviews you read on here about how good these people are, I wouldn't trust if the reviews are real or not. Who knows? But this is my horror story and it's real. You can even email me at xxxxxxxx@bellsouth.net for more details if you would like. My name is Ernest Simpson.

BIG UPDATE!! THREAT OF LEGAL ACTION!!!!

This company has now threatened me with a lawsuit of a minimal $15,000 if I don’t remove my review. Can you believe it!!!! No wonder people don’t leave them negative reviews. They probably get threatened also, IMO. Below is a copy of the letter:

According to them (see attached document of the letter they wrote me) they picked my stuff up on the 30th and delivered on the 2nd. That is completely FALSE!!! I have credit card statements to prove my story that I was on the road on the 4th. Here is my hotel statement on the night of the 3rd : (it shows the 4th because the card was ran after midnight).

10/06      10/07          WINGATE HOTEL          FL                   5077         9918                  101.92

                                 70270A

                                 ARRIVAL DATE 10/04/13

Also, see the below bill of freight that shows they picked my stuff up on the 27th  when they actually picked my stuff up on the 30th. They can’t even get their own facts straight with the rebuttal documents threating my lawsuit!

Maybe LEGALLY they delivered my stuff within the contract (I never disputed that point) but that doesn’t mean they acted morally or ethically. I’ve told my story and that’s up to you all to decide. But would ANYONE seriously want to do business with a company that threatens people with legal action who leave honest but negative reviews?

Because of their action, I’m now going to paste this on Facebook and every site that I can think of. They may keep threatening the little consumer with corporate legal action but I’m fighting because somebody has to take a stand!
