Put this bank on your list of banks that like to hold on to your money an extra few days after your CD matures. When this is done to ALL depositers (i.e., interest-free loans FROM you to the bank), it adds up to a tidy little sum at the end of the year. This goes to their bottom line to fund bonuses for the top brass or just because they CAN. Nice going Synchrony/GE Capital. Your recent name change does not dress this stuff up.
