Hired this company back in January and paid them $2400 for there services. They assigned me to James Stanley a so called ex IRS agent to help us, said he was one of the best. Five months has gone by and they haven't done a single thing with the IRS
Contacted the IRS and no negotiations of any kind have been made. This company is such a Rip off and has caused me so much stress and problems. I could of just used the $2400 toward the IRS in the first place. I have sent three complaints to the BBB and they still refuse to refund my money.
Does anyone have any advise on what I can do. I'm a mother of three and don't have a lot money and could use some help on getting my refund back.

FYI: The IRS will only "settle" debts in highly exceptional circumstances...i.e. Your house and/or business was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina or if there is a critical illness in your family...
You've been scammed...All of these predatory lending, credit and tax settlement firms all target vulnerable people who are having financial problems....people who in general do not have the resources to fight back....this is a business model taken straight from the mafia...only now it's legal.
You also might want to try to file complaints with the Attorney General for your state, in addition to the BBB.

I emailed Taxpayers Negotiation Group asking for a refund and this is just a few of replies that he sent back to me: Note that I copied and pasted this from my email account so you can see EXACTLY how they responded to me and what a bunch of jerks they really are:
And IF you paid your taxes like you were supposed to you would not be in trouble with the IRS today Self-righteous indignation. Its always the losers like yourself who dont do the right thing---like pay your taxes instead of being a deadbeat and then complain about other people not fixing their problem fast enough.
