I've been needing to get a bed for awhile now & have been saving money from my retirement checks so I could replace my 20 year old bed. I saw a commercial on TV that The Dump was having a bed sale, so I decided to price beds there.

While looking at beds the salesman walked up & asked if I needed help...I told him I was looking for a bed that was inexpensive but comfortable. He showed me beds in my price range. They all were about average in comfort, then he showed me 2 memory foam beds made by Dormia. The first 1 was alright, but the second 1 was like laying on a cloud. It was  so comfortable & was in my price range too!

He started taking all my information (name, add., phone, etc), He told me only 1 problem: I would have to wait a week to get it shipped from another store. I had no problem with that so I purchased it & would return the following week to pick-up. He was telling how great it was... It comes compressed so I wouldn't have to pay anyone to deliver it for me, it would fit in my car. that was just perfect for me.

The following week came he called & left a message on my phone. I thought " Great! My bed is here!" I couldn't understand his message at all, there was screechy noise(like a fax machine) through the whole message. I called the store & they told me that I would have to wait 2 more weeks. He said there was a demand for the bed & they sold out & I had to wait till they got more. If I needed it right away i could come pick out a different bed but I told him I would wait for the 1 I purchased.

2 weeks later: I didn't get a call this time, so I called the store. They said it was there. I went to the pick-up window, they said I had to wait a bit. They gave me a beeper & would call me when they were ready. I waited about an hour & when I backed my car up for them to put in my car they bought out this uncompressed Queen sized bed that would noway fit in my car! I said to them "Are you sure that is mine?" it"s suppose to be compressed. The girl stated sometimes they are compressed & sometimes they're not. I told them I would have to come back after I find someone with a truck.

I finally found someone to pick-up bed with a van. I looked at the bed... I said to the same girl " Are you sure that's my bed?" because in the plastic cover it sure didn't look the same. She looked at the model# on invoice & then the label on plastic covering & they matched. She said it was the same bed.

I got it set up in my bedroom & laid on it...it sure didn't feel the same. I slept on it for a week & started to get back pain. I thought, boy! There is something wrong with this bed! After laying on it awhile you sink down in the memory foam & it is very hard to get up out of it! I had to get pain pills from my Dr for my back & I started sleeping on  my sofa. The store is only open 3 days a week so I waited till the following week to call them about the problem. They said sarcastically, I'm sorry about your problem but the bed is not returnable for comfort & my problem falls in that category!

After having this problem I researched on the internet about the Dormia beds. I found out others are having the same problem as me & the customer service with them is the same as The Dump!

I tried everything to try & get a good night sleep...I thought, well maybe if i put it on the floor it would be better. If that works I would get a firmer box spring then. It was no better. I noticed a tag on the mattress. It had the model# on it, but it wasn't the model# on the invoice or plastic covering on bed. I knew it couldn't be the same bed in the showroom when I laid on it. This should be illegal! It's just like I read in other reports the old bait & switch game! Now I'm stuck with a crappy bed & no money to buy a new one.
