I had an initial interview with the Manager of the company. The interview went well, so I had a second interview, which included shadowing an Account Manager. I did well, so she explained the "Management Program" to me at lunch and I continue shadowing her for the remainder of the day. At the end of the day she recommended me for a third interview, which occurred that same day. I was offered a job. I was to begin work on Monday.

When I arrived there I was shocked because there were other individuals there to be interviewed. I was told that out of some 50 individuals they were only hiring three, but as I learned they have a waiting list. They interview individuals daily. Well, after my first day of work I was exhausted! My Account Manager and I walked around all day in Burbank in the sweltering heat. I had a blister on my foot and was sunburned. I showed up for work that morning at 7:15 am and was dismissed at 6:15 p.m. I had worked 11 hours. We didn't take any breaks either.

Before going out to our location the next day, I asked if I could grab a muffin at McDonalds before we left. Her reply was something to the effect of "Technically we need to get to our destination, you can get something there. That evening my ride had arrived early, so I asked her if we could go over the day quickly? She reply some like, "Well, we're not supposed to go in the office early. Also, once when I was in the "board room" and I had to use the restroom. I was told I couldn't leave the room because there were people in the lobby and they would be confused if they saw people walking in and out of the office. She was very controlling. She also said we had to walk into the building together when I told here I be right up I just have to make a quick phone call. And she always walked me out of the building. I found out a lot of information quickly. I learned that I was hired as an Independent Contractor and that they didn't pay for benefits.

The next morning I didn't show up to work and called my Account Manager and told her I quit. Hopefully you'll learn from my experience and not waste your time.
