Werner Enterprises False Advertising and misrepresentation of salary Hayden, Idaho

Not sure what you are doing wrong, other than obviously not driving much, but I worked with Werner for almost 2 years (05 and 06) and didn't bring home less than 500 a week, (and that was because I took 2 days off that week).
Unfortunately as a trainee you don't make much.. when I trained with them I think the pay was 300 before taxes and deductions. But once you get your own rig, the money is up to you.. "If The Wheels Aint Turnin' Then You Aint Earnin'"... words to live by if you are trying to make a career of driving..
After I got my own rig I made an average of 600 to 700 a week,, there were even a few 1000 weeks in there.. and that was making (if I remember right) only 25cpm.  So it can be done, you can't be a truck stop junkie or take a lot of time off. Companies usually offer 2 off for every 14 out. The only problem with that is that's not a lot of time out if you take into consideration the average 2 day drive to deliver,, time to unload,, getting your new load,, then another 2 day drive to deliver,, exc. exc....  that's not alot of trips in 14 days,, hence, not much money for you..You say you made just over 2600 since you started in your own rig?? That's since the first of the year??? Gotta tell ya, I was making that (and more sometimes) in a month, so you may want to consider getting either on the road and start driving more, or get a new dispatcher who will get you more miles, because that just aint right...
I have drove for 6 different companies since 1997, and I can tell you from experience, Werner is one of the best to train with, (as long as you get a good trainer), and worth the frustration to stick with long enough to get some experience under your belt so you can go to a better paying company, (of which is what I did). Experience is the key.. the more you have, the more the next company will offer you.. This is the only industry I have worked in that you can actually improve your pay scale by moving from one company to another... but again.. It's all up to how much experience you have..
Not saying Werner is the best to work for or to train with, but it is one of the top 5..

Not to be too nosy, but are you taking advances or something? I have been with the company for over 3 years and have only once received a $0 paycheck. That was because I had went on hometime and when I came back out freight was kinda slow and I didn't get enough trips in. If you aren't getting enough miles with your dispatcher you are quite free to request another dispatcher. I guess I'm lucky. I have a great one that listens to me, talks to me and gives me great miles.  I wish you luck in your endeavors to find a company that won't try to hold as much money back as they possibly can.  No place is going to be perfect.
