This report is in regards to the unfair and unacceptable service I received from Tuffy, 9835 Rocky River, Charlotte, NC, 28215.

My saga begins with my car not starting properly. All of this took place in a matter of 6 weeks. My vehicle would not start properly so I took it to Tuffy. I was told it needed a new battery; they put in a new battery ( $129). I did not question them, I assumed they were professionals. The vehicle still would not start properly, I took it in again, with in 1 week. They were not sure what the problem was. Finally, the vehicle would not start at all, and I had to pay to have it towed in ( $60). They said it was the alternator ($450). The car still did not start properly, I took it in for the 4th time (TWO DAYS LATER) they said maybe it was the cold weather. I explicitly told Scott, (the manager), I was going to New Zealand for 3 months and I needed this car fixed properly because my younger sister (who just had a baby) will be driving it. Since I have been in NZ, as you can guess the car would not start again. I called the service technician's number because NZ is 15 hours ahead, and the shop was closed. Per Scott, the service technician had permission from the person who was in charge that day (Scott was off) to go see what the problem was. The technician went to my sister's house, diagnosis the problem, and put in a starter. IT WAS THE STARTER ALL ALONG.!! An employee finally valued me as a customer and did what was completely appropriate. This act helped my little sister tremendously because it was 29 degrees that day and as I stated she had a 3 week old baby with her at the time. The car has since started up perfectly!!! So you would think that would be the end of the story!.

NO, on March 3 at 7:30 am my sister was awaken by Scott stating" if someone did not come into the shop and pay for the part by 5:00 pm that evening criminal theft charges were going to be filed". He also stated that everything seemed suspicious, why I would call the service technician first, and that I was in cahoots with the service technician to steal a $150.00 part, mind you I have already given your company hundreds of dollars. Secondly, why would I risk my entire career as a professional to steal a $150.00 dollar part when I can easy pay for it? I have worked too hard and too long to let some store manager wage allegations that I am a thief. This all boils down to the principle!!. My sister simply stated she was not going to pay, due to the series of misdiagnosis. My question is "Who is their right mind calls 23 year old women who just had a baby and threatens her!!!!! And her sister who is out of the country and wage allegations that they are thieves!!!!". As I stated Scott (the manager) knew I was out of the country through numerous conversations. They have had complaints filed with the Better business bureau, but have not responded.

It would be interesting if the previous unanswered complaints were from single women.
