United Credit Bureau lame excuse for bill collector Ft, Lauderdale Florida

UCB started calling a month ago but I did not know it was them, because they violated the FDCPA by not leaving name of company on message machine.

I never answer phone if I do not recognize the caller ID. This seems to upset them very much, as they have stated on messages left.

Everyone should check out www.ftc.gov or google fair debtor act, its a 40 page document that outlines your rights. Did you know you can send a certified letter requesting all communications cease (FDCPA Sec 805c). If you intend on eventually paying debt just request that all phone calls cease and conduct business thru mail only.

If they continue to call after you have recieved the return reciept (green card) for your certified mail, They are in Violation of FDCPA. Sec 813 shows their liabilty to you.

Remember do not talk to them, on the phone at all, until you are ready to settle the debt. failure to pay debt will damage your credit score.
