I had my 2002 Ford truck stolen on the 1st of January. I filed a claim with my renters policy as well as car insurance policy. After they recovered it, they said it was a total loss. They told me they would send paperwork to finish the claim. Instead they sent out a "special investigator" to call all my friends and ask if I was dishonest and late on payments and embarrassed me. I am a Military policeman. I pride myself on honesty.

After this was done (approximately 1 month later) They still had not contacted me. I called them. Apparently the lady who was handling my claim went on vacation and they gave me a new person to "help me" They didnt have the paperwork I sent and said I needed to send it again. I did so. I called back after tracking down 5 different forms and bill of sales and misc. forms they needed and sent it back to them.

I didnt hear anything for about 2 more weeks. I called again. I asked when I would be getting my renters insurance check for my tools that were stolen out of my truck. They said I never filed a claim and that they would send out an itemized list for me to fill out and send back to them. I filled this out (AGAIN!)and sent it back a few days later.

Now its been 2 months. I still havent recieved my check. I called back a week later and they said that they sent the check out on the 7th of March. I said. ok I can wait a couple more days its already been over 2 months. What's a couple more days right? I called back a week later and they told me they sent it to the wrong address and they couldnt forward the check because its a check. I said I need to speak to a manager.

By this time I have already spent 600 dollars in monthly payments to USAA for them not doing their job. I was told that all Managers and Senior persons left for the day and she would put a stop payment on the check and would email me when this is done and send an EFT payment into my account. Still waiting.

It is now the 23rd of March and I have not recieved 1 check, payment or appology for this rediculous, insulting way they have treated me. All I want is my coverage that they aggreed to pay me (IN MY CONTRACT) when I bought their insurance. Now, I have already payed them the amount of the check they were going to pay me in monthly payments to them.

I have never been so angry and frustrated with a more idiotic disrespectful business in my life. I was with them for 1 and a half years. As soon as I get my claim finished, I will cancel, send letters to any better business bureau company I can find, and by word of mouth give USAA the credit the deserve for doing such a great job!!!

Please do not get USAA insurance.
