I have watched my rate increase dramatically over the years.  Everytime I call USAA, someone tells me something different as to the reason for the increase. Pretty frequently the "cost" associated with insurance in my area to complete repairs to my 2002 Chevy Tahoe IF there is something that occurs has increased just like milk or other products.  

I recently compared my rate change (as the son of a military member) to an active duty member to another friend that is an officer. We all live in the same gated community.  The officer had seen an increase of about 2% over a 6 month period. The active duty member (E-5) and I had seen an increase of 20% for the same period.  

They are tiering and they dont allow there representatives to say anything other than you "may" have different cars, driving records or driving habits. If you are an officer you are entitled to great rates. Anyone else except for their preferred customers will be given a higher rate and a discussion on value.

 Since I am not an officer and my rates are already high, the rate increases continue to destroy my budget. 

Now their profits continue to increase just like my rates.  After all I guess someone has to be able contribute to this billion dollar company!

I also guess I should have to pay for the labor they obtain from India and Mexico with regards to their claims department.  They have simply taken their product and wrapped it in the American Flag.

If you are an officer, USAA may be for you, but the "legacy" they promote does NOT benefit anyone that is not an officer FINANCIALLY. 

They would like to keep my money and selling me on their value which deminishes EVERY time I call and have to wait for 20 minutes or sit on the phone because none of their associates can call a customer back.  WHERE is the VALUE? Billion dollar company giving hundred dollar service.
