My wife went into the Verizon store to buy a wireless card for me, for a Father's Day gift laptop she hadn't purchased yet. A store employee guaranteed her that a certain card would work in ANY new laptop. When she purchased the laptop and gave it to me, we found that the card did not work. That afternoon, I tried to return the card to them and they refused to accept it, because more than 15 days had elapsed from time of purchse. We have tried unsuccessfully to obtain ANY sort of satisfaction from them. The issue is not their return policy under normal circs, the issue is when their employee offers information that is incorrect, the "15-day" return policy should not begin tolling until we find out we cannot rely upon the emp's statements and have a need to return the item.

Electronic equipment does not come with a lengthy refund period. 3 days is the legal limit in most states.

Wireless communication devices are often sold at a discounted price in conjunction with a service contract. In most states there is a 3 day cancellation period on contracts. Contracts that come with wireless communication devices usually have an early termination fee if you cancel the contract after the term you have to cancel the contract and before the contract term ends.

It is generally extremily unwise to purchase accessories for computers you do not yet own.
