I purchased my v2 cause it was a complete package with everything I could need. The price was very good considering it also came with a free DVD player and digital camera. I was very upset when my computer crashed after only 1 week of use. My customer service rep was lost and sent me to another rep whom was lost and sent me back to the previous lost rep who had a tech come out 2 weeks later saying I needed a hard drive. My new hard drive did not work.
2 weeks later after my new mainboard came the same tech came out and my computer was once again running.
My computer only lasted 5 months and crashed again. This time I took it to a computer shop and had them fix it. They had to wipe my drive clean and reformat. This cost me $95. Much cheaper than the extended warranty.
My digital camera is junk. My DVD player worked for about 8 discs and now it dont work. My free software was outdated and I will never buy anthing from v2 or shop NBC again. Made in china is all I can say.

#10 UPDATE EX-employee responds
software is not covered under any warranty
AUTHOR: A - (U.S.A.)

I worked for V2 premier! Kelley, do you know the difference between hardware and software, software is not covered under any warranty, the biggest software mfg. MS makes you pay when you call then for support. Go out to your local best buy and buy a software title, by the time you get home and install it, you will notice that the software has 2 or 3 revisions released already.
Boohoo!!!!! I had to take my computer to a computer to reformat the hard drive. most likely you downloaded something from the internet that corrupted you OS (Winxp). Just because you know how to use the mouse does not mean you are a computer user, most likely will never be one.
If you were smart, you could have saved your $95 and did it your self. (wipe my drive clean and reformat) in one step using your recovery CDs, Recovery Floppy, or on the newest V2premier computers by pressing the F4 key during boot up.
I agree with you about the digital camera, the DVD player was a giveaway, what do you expect from a freebee.
Anyway go out and buy a Dell, Gateway/E-machines, HP/Compaq and see if you have better service, I honestly doubt it.

Steve, I live in Steilacoom also (spelled correctly) and have had nothing but trouble with customer support and it ahs not ended. I DID finally get a manager to call me by contacting ShopNBC and threatening a law suit, they had a manager call me but thigns are still not working properly. You must call custome support at a good time.
ANd if their computers are all that great, why would anyone even need to call support in the first place!?

I have had 7 computer systems with various name brands and have experienced much worse support.
In fact the support I have received from the V2 staff has been outstanding.
