couldnt get miles so i decided to go home with permission from jeff borrowits, then when i asked werner to tell me what to do they claimed i drove the truck unauthorized.
jim walters told me i was off his board but when i called to get on someone's board werner had hung up on me. so i basically didnt have a boss, my wife called driver relations talked with anna she told her to have me call jeff borrowits. i did call jeff and he told me i could take my trainee up to beto jct.

so idid what i was told and i called jeff later to confirm that and he told me to continue with what i was doing.

now i have been yelled at by joe determan and the director of driver relations and treated like i was a criminal i have people telling me that i didnt call people when i had witnesses and other people on the phone to verify and basically told i was a liar.

i came back to this company not to quit but to make money and that has not happened yet. i was told i would get 2500 miles a week i have seen only 1 week in 6 where that happened. but i had no other alternative to quit.
i was told i could not drive the truck anymore so now werner is going to send someone down to get it and with any luck they wont try to say i abandoned it. thank you

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Qual com is vital

AUTHOR: Jay - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 23, 2007

Werner and most trucking companies have a qual comm system (on board computer) When I drove for werner and now my husband drives for them we call and talk to all the right people but we also send qual comm messages to confirm the plan of action. The dispatcher can not erase qual com messages they are a drivers only defence in these situations otherwise it really is our word against theirs.

Also when a driver is exhausted from over work, use the qual com system to send a message or messages and remind the company of their "reputation" of safe and proffessional drivers so that you will not be forced to run when you are obviously to sleepy.
