On October 8, 2010 I accepted an offer from wozo.com for a free poster.  It said that all I needed to do was pay the shipping.  I entered my card number and awaited my poster.  As of today, I have been charged the as well as a charge of $29.99.  I knew this had to be a mistake so I immediately checked my inbox for confirmation of the transaction and surely enough, they never sent one.  On Friday October 15, 2010 I called the toll free number listed for wozo.com on my statement and spoke to a Tina.  She told me that there was nothing she could do but take a message.  She told me that I must have agreed to the terms of their agreement and I assured her I had not.  I even told her that I had not received any confirmation email or anything to confirm this purchase.  She told me to expect a call and/or email within 2 business days.  I gave her all of my information including my email address and phone number.  As of today Tuesday October 19, 2010 I have yet to hear from them.  I called the toll free number again today and spoke to Carole who was combative and defensive again saying I must have clicked on their link and that there was nothing she could do.  I asked for a supervisor and she refused.  She said she could take another message.  She ended up hanging up on me and I called back again and got Tina.  Again, she took my information and said someone would be calling me but I still haven't heard anything.  I also have not received the original poster that lured me in.  And after reading all of the posts about this same situation, I don't expect they will be contacting me.  I have checked my inbox several times for confirmation of this transaction and still have nothing there. 

This is obviously a scam.  This poor little poster company has set themselves up in such a manipulative manner and they don't seem to care HOW they make their money.  If they were a legitimate company interested in growing their business by providing a good service, they would just correct the obvious misrepresentation and refund everyone's money.  And dare I say apologize??  This is truly a financial inconvenience, and to take time to call their company and be stonewalled is consistant with this being a scam.  There is a big difference between someone paying .99 versus $30, and on top of that I am still unsure as to what their stupid membership even includes.  I read that some of the other people who were scammed were lucky to at least have their membership cancelled, but as of right now I don't know what will become of me and my membership because they refuse to do anything everytime I contact them.  I certainly hope that someone shuts this company down, but until then I will be contacting everyone from my local news stations to the Better Business Bureau in an effort to try to put the word out so that nobody else falls victim to this pathetic scam.  If any attorneys read this, I will be more than happy to cooperate and provide any details needed to prosecute this company and all participants in this scam.
