AJ I am so sorry to have to resort to airing my grievance in the public realm but I gave you every opportunity to correct this situation and you have very obviously decided to not make any further attempts in finding a way to resolve this transaction.

This is written with the utmost honesty and a saddened heart as I have never left a bad review for anyone person or establishment in my life. It's my nature to be understanding, give 2nd chances, even provide excuses for others and I've tried all that in regards to my last transaction with AJ but in the end, since all of my efforts to work with him in resolving this issue have been written off by him, a negative review seems to be my only recourse.

I have had 4-5 transactions with AJ in the past year, I felt so comfortable trusting him from the very first time I met him, I believed in his knowledge base, I had read great reviews about him and I honestly believed we did and would continue to have a great working relationship....but then he blatantly lied to me, took advantage of my trust in him and it really sucked to find out that he is not as genuine as he appears to be. But then again I should have gotten a second or third opinion and that I admit is totally on me. Lesson learned, the hard way.

I brought in a few thousand dollars worth of gold jewelry, including a couple notable pieces which he paid fairly well for as always, I also had an old diamond with me which we started discussing. The .98 carat diamond was folded up in a mini waxed paper envelope with faded writing on it stating .98 carat, VSI H colored, wether or not that info was correct or not I had no proof or knowledge but since I trusted AJ I didn't think to second guess his expertise. When he told me that in fact the diamond I had was a "doublet" his words not mine, I believed him. He then explained to me how the top half was a diamond glued onto glass therefore the carat size was way off, he made me believe I had a very pretty, but less than impressive or valuable diamond. Believing him, we negotiated a price and I sold it to him that same day along with the other gold jewelry....(please note this is not about the money, like I said my bad for only getting one opinion.)

Fast forward three weeks and I come upon the official GIA inspection and authenticity report for the diamond I had sold to AJ....the markings on the paper were correct, it was a whole certified diamond, maybe not the greatest diamond but it wasn't a doublet and he knew it when he looked at it, this was no mistake. Very calmly and with no anger I tried for two weeks to get AJ to return the diamond to me, I even offered to GIVE him $1000 for the diamond he bought from me for $800. He then for the next two weeks made me believe he was trying to locate it, he said he even went to his buyer in la trying to locate it.....I appreciated his effort and willingness to help me get it back, even though he was faking almost no knowledge of the pretty impressive transaction just a few weeks before. In the end he asked me what I wanted from him to fix the situation and I responded that was for him to decide since he was the one that lied, he took advantage of my trust and I thought he should offer a solution to me not vice versa.

On a Friday he asked me to give him till Tuesday to figure out a way to resolve the issue, of course no problem talk to you Tuesday I said. Since that Friday I have waited a full two weeks before writing this review....I never heard back from AJ, no resolve, no apology, no admission of guilt, no fair payment made, no returned diamond.....nothing at all was done to make up for lying about the diamond and paying me pennies ($800) compared to its $5000 appraisal certificate dated 1977!! I would have been happy with $500, a sincere apology and a promise to never treat me like an idiot again but I got nothing from AJ, except scammed.

Apparently AJs poker face is a d**n good one, seller beware he actually doesn't care about you or your business as much as he will make you feel, he will lie to profit off you and in the end he will let greed overtake his good business sense.

Such a let down of an experience....any suggestions for an honest gold buyer in Corona because I won't be going back to AJ's
