The owner of this Allstate Driving School is a very dishonest, greedy, selfish, calculated, rude and mean person. Be careful when doing business with this woman, insist on putting EVERYTHING in writing (She refuses to do so and expects her customers to "trust" what she says. Her website does not disclose all billing information so she can obtain maximum financial gain from her customers. The owner conceals information and uses "word of mouth" as an excuse. This does not work legally in USA.

Due to COVID, CA DMVs stop all behind the wheel driving tests since Jan 2021. I had tried asking to postpone my last 2 hrs of lessons (paid 6 hrs $368) to May 2021 when I come back from college. The owner would not write me a conformation of postponing the last lesson to May 2021. Instead, I was only refunded $92. To their defense, they said (via texting) that 2hrs= $138, 4hrs = $276, 6 hrs = $368. They only refunded me back $92 based on the difference between 4 hrs and 6 hrs. $368-$276 = $92 The problem is they do not have the 4 hrs price on the website, on 5th January 2021. This means, they can set their 4 hrs price at whatever number to maximize their profit. Based on the information provide by their website, 2 hrs = $ 138. 6 hrs = $ 368. I only took 4 hrs of lessons, $368/6hrs = $61.3. $61.3 x 2 hrs = $122.6. The company only refunded me $92.

They still owe me $31.

For all of your accusations, you are the one who may be dishonest. in trying to get more money than you are owed. With you thinking this is a RipOff I wonder if we should or should not be surprised that you are in College.

The owner of this Allstate Driving School is a very dishonest, greedy, selfish, calculated, rude and mean person.
- Actually, it seems as if you are describing yourself.

The owner would not write me a conformation of postponing the last lesson to May 2021. Instead, I was only refunded $92.
- With the situation the way it is, there is no guarantee you would be able to take your lesson then either. Many companies have stopped rescheduling and have just gone to refunding.  So there is no ripoff by her not writing you a CONFIRMATION letter.

To their defense, they said (via texting) that 2hrs= $138, 4hrs = $276, 6 hrs = $368
- That is not a defense, that is proof of what they sent you back is 100% correct.

they can set their 4 hrs price at whatever number to maximize their profit.
- No they set their 4-hour price at the same rate as their 2-hour price, there is nothing wrong with this.

I only took 4 hrs of lessons, $368/6hrs = $61.3. $61.3 x 2 hrs = $122.6.
- You are assuming that they should charge you the same rate you paid for 6 hours if you only take 4. It doesn't work that way.  Being in college you must know what happens when you assume.  If from the beginning you paid for only 4 hours, you would have paid $276 for the lessons.

Since you are in college you must love Pop Quizzes, so here is one for you to see if you learned anything. In May say you call them up and want to them schedule the remaining two hours.  Since you already paid for the 4 hours you took and will only be adding on 2 hours how much do you think you should pay them?
