AutoNation Volkswagen Service Department at 6375 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV  89146 advertises an Oil Change Special for Volkswagens at $54.99. The Tech will also give you their Diagnostic that upsells the need for other services. The upsell diagnostic they gave me was for $1200 in additional work, which I declined.

Now, "IF" you decline their upsells like I did, I strongly suggest you DO NOT GO BACK!!! I warn you - after my 2nd visit for the same oil change - that's when their Service Tech went into "scammer" mode and their BS kicked in! There was no oil drips on the ground or in my garage. There was no Service Engine display or any Service Soon display on the dashboard monitor. There was no sign of malfunction when I took my car in for the 2nd oil change.

Nothing to support AutoNation's Service Tech's claim that the oil pan and gasket now needed replacement. AutoNation's Tech claimed the oil pan gasket was stripped (which, IF true, then probably from the original oil change they did)  that ruined the entire oil pan which they replaced at a cost of $1063!!!

I promise I'll never, never - ever, ever go back to AutoNation Volkswagen in Las Vegas, NV as a customer and I suggest you don't go there for service on your vehicle, either.

Once Again Just Another Trashy BOGUS FEE Car Dealer!

AUTHOR: Irv - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 10, 2024

Whenever some stench soaked, slime ball car dealer adds FAKE FEES that tells the world all that is needed to be known that HONESTY and INTEGRITY are not to be found there. In this case, they add almost $700 in a PURELY FAKE PAPERWORK FEE to the car purchase. The FRAUD and DECEPTION has more flown into the shop just like raw sewage on a downhill street. You are 100% CORRECT. Don't ever go to a slime ball, sleazy car dealership for non-warranty work. To do so, you are setting yourself up for PRICE GOUGING, garbage customer service and fake mechanics who are nothing more than parts changers who work on commission. Find a good independent shop and do business there. Don't set yourself to be PRICE GOUGED and LIED TO by another member of the SLEAZY AMERICAN CAR BUSINESS. That's what the industry has come to. Not all car dealers are slimeballs but the industry is TOP HEAVY with sleaze bags. You be sure to spread the word about FAKE FEES as well. In all too many cases, the car business is LOADED with the SMELL of people choking on the stench of their own dishonesty and trashiness and THAT is a FACT.
