Carecentrix Monroe WI Auto Pay Capability APC Unsolicited phone call and letter in mail Jacksonville, Monroe Florida, Wisconsin

My husband recently had surgery and all home health care, meds, and equipment had been set up prior with excellent conciege service. Insurance, co-pays and his financial responsibility was all paid for in advance. We were never informed of this (Carecentrix) service or phone call.  He received a phone call from a woman with this company asking him to verify his identity.  She said I need you to verify your identity to protect your identity.

He said if this company knew about all of his surgery, doctors, insurance, etc. that she should know at least some of that information.  He said to protect my identity I am not giving you that information, and said goodbye.  We get our mail slowly and today 8-17-2020 received a letter from Carecentrix dated 7-29-20.  The letter looks very official reads as follows:  Carecentrix P O box 2011 Monroe WI 53566-8311 7-29-20 To my husband....name...address.  Patient name:--- Patient number 8210571. 

Dear _  We're writing about the home care services that were recently prescribed for the patient referenced above.  These services may include medical equipment, home health services on infustion therapy.  Carecentrix will be coordinating these home health services on behalf of your health plan.  Carecentrix is also responsible for collecting the patient cost share associated with these services (i.e., copayment, coinsurance, and/or deductible).  To streamline how you pay the bills associated with your home care arranged by CC, we offer Auto-Payment Capability (APC).

If I set up with the companies already - why do I need this?)  Features include viewing your payment history, signing up for eStatements, setting up your APC arrangement, and managing your payment methods 24/7.  Alternatively, you can contact our office at (877) 461 3148 to establish an APC arrangement to pay for your upcoming services.  If you are unable to pay the full amount, we can work with you to establsih an interest-free payment plan.  If you have secondary coverage with a governemnt program (Medicare, Medicad, Tricare,) for your home care services, you may not be responsible for the bills associated with upcoming services, but you must call to ensure we have your current secondary coverage information on file.

If they are offerning a service why don't they state this?  Why ask for personal information?  Seems to me if they are legit - it is an unnecessary middleman or thirdparty that is unnecessary.
