I am contacting you regarding a complaint about CreditFresh, also knwn as CBW Bank

On November 2, 2021, I made a loan from my line of credit with CreditFresh for $2,975.

Because I was traveling abroad, I could not access CreditFresh’s Web-site, and also was affected by the passing of my Mom in France. I was not able to pay through the Web-site, since it was not available in France.

In December, I resolved to catch up on the account, however I received constantly conflicting information from the emails I received from CreditFresh, regarding how much was due to pay back.

In December 22, I receive from Ms. Turirit a statement of principal and fees due. Based on this statement, it showed a past-due amount of $363.07. I corresponded with a staff member, Mr. Asif, regarding this amount, to which he wrote by email that:

On January 12, 2022, I received an email from Mr. Avik Chakraborty

"Name of Creditor: CBW Bank

Balance In Arrears: $363.07

Your available credit will increase to $281.14 once the remaining balance in arrears is recovered as this also includes the 3% principal contributions from your former statements.”

Therefore I paid the past-due amount of $363.07 on January 18, and the available credit on my account became $281.14 - which means that I would owe only $2,975 (my credit limit) - $281.14 = $2,693.86.

On 1/18/2022, after paying the $363.07 first, I paid the payoff balance shown on the screen as $2693.86 – which is the same amount as Mr. Avik told me – see the screenshot below.

However Mr. Avik and the staff I contact at CreditFresh say that I still owe them $325, which is a large sum of money.

I am contesting owing this amount at all and am filing this complaint to get a resolution to this matter.

Sincerely,
