Engle Implant Dentistry - FRAUDULENT CONSENT FORMS, IV SEDATION TO DEMENTIA PATIENT REMOVING TEETH THAT WERE GOOD Naples FL

My name is Richard E. DeFino. I am the Power of Attorney and full-time caregiver for my mother-in-law, Marina Mayungo Toro, an 80-year-old woman with advanced dementia and osteoporosis. I am writing this to expose the actions of Dr. Bradley Engle, DDS, and Attorney Joseph A. Davidow, FL Bar #65885 & nbsp; and Wendell Feliciano DDS who have caused our family severe harm, financially, emotionally, and medically.

What Was Done to Us:

Dr. Engle and extracted healthy teeth from me and Marina and myself. Dr. Feliciano told me this is part of what Engle has been doing for years.

We were billed for procedures that were never done

He charged for visits we never made (including November 22, 2023, when we weren't there)

We were double billed, and I can prove it with ledgers and statements

Marina, a vulnerable elder was sedated without proper informed consent, despite being in advanced-stage dementia and she sustained a stroke according to radiology Regional. Marina at 100 LBS was never a candidate for sedation.

Legal Retaliation and Abuse:

Instead of responding with accountability, Dr. Engle sent his attorney, Joseph A. Davidow, after us like a legal enforcer.
He filed two lawsuits against me:

One for defamation (Case No. 11-2024-CA-000660-0001-01) ( I only told the truth)

One for money we had already overpaid (Case No. 11-2024-CC-000217-0001-01) ( Sued for $38,500 and paid $40,500) No sleep will do that.

When I tried to resolve this, I was told by Davidow just give me $6,000 and we will close one more case. I declined his offer. & nbsp;

Then you'll stay in court. The Court has sheilded Dr. Engle just like he said they would. He said I don't care who you were in New York, I don't care what fraternity you belong to, in Collier no one can touch me. I asked the Court to rule and they told me no! I asked for discovery and Davidow said only the old records you have. I said I need CDs and as usual he gave me nothing for all of this time and the Judges have not done A thing to rule in our favor. It feels like we are on a TV show. Engle drilled a hole in my tooth so large that Dr. John Contino DMD asked me Who did this to you? I refused to say. The he said well I guess you are with Morgan and Morgan? Engles chart say Marina has dementia and is not a candidate for surgery. She has never been given medical clearnace and they allowed a patient with dementia to sign for her procedures. & nbsp;Anyone from the press wants this exclusive let me know. To this point no one seems to care but I am sure there are still a few men out there who can help us or women.

They were not interested in justice only power and silence.

They Called the Sheriff on Me:

We believe Davidow or someone associated with him contacted the Collier County Sheriffs Office and accused me of abusing Marina in our own home. That was a lie.

Marina lives under the care of Avow Hospice, and everyone who knows us nurses, neighbors, friends knows that she is loved, protected, and surrounded by care every single day.

Calling law enforcement to intimidate a caregiver is a line no decent lawyer or doctor should ever cross, I must have reported Davidow to the Florida bar ten times, crickets.

What We've Endured:

We were dragged through court for 18 months, even after I paid all bills and more. I have paid over $9,000 in restoration just for my mouth. Marina is ruined for life.

I've worked 18-hour days, filing motions as a pro se litigant, while my wife carried the full burden of caring for Marina.
I paid $20,300 to an attorney from New York who was licensed in Florida because no one wanted this case and he walked away with my money.

And still the judges in Collier County sit on these cases & mdash; letting this go on. I just received a notice to a zoom conference and it was mailed two days befor the conference and received two days after. Engles lawyer was there of course. I wonder why?

He didn't expect a Bronx man who doesn't quit to stand up to him but I permit no abuse to my loved ones.

I Reported This the Right Way:

I went to the Naples Police Department first. They treated me respectfully and took my statement.
Then, as instructed by attorneys Lane and Glassman, I submitted a formal complaint to the Florida Department of Health (Case No. 202352006).

That was nearly two years ago. Nothing has been done.

Final Statement:

Everything I've written in this report and in my legal filings; I believe to be 100% truthful and accurate. I have expert witnesses who cannot believe what Engle did

Yet he plays the victim.

I am not suicidal.
I stand by every word I've written.
Any harm to me, my wife, or Marina Mayungo Toro will be treated as criminal retaliation. All of my statements are logged with an attorney in New York.

We are not criminals.
We are caregivers who paid in full, told the truth, and have been punished by a system that protects its own.
