Equis Financial LLC Is a Bully and won't release me

Started as a normal insurance agent, searching to find the right company to join and move forward in my career as an insurance agent. However, one month in I came across another company that fitted me a lot more than Equis Financial. So I started working for this other IMO, and it came to contracting with one of the insurance carriers I was contracted with Equis to switch over to this new IMO, Well that's when I learned that just cause they state you are non-captive doesn't mean they hold you hostage for 6 months until you can write with the other carrier. The company takes advantage of the little guys who are just trying to move forward in life, but Equis Financial doesn't provide you with a super simple release letter that can take a couple of minutes to do and not have to go through the hurdles they made me go through. So what I suggest to all my other agents out there is don't join Equis they are bullies who won't let you leave if you want to.
