The vet at Glenolden Animal Hospital, Dr. Fanelli, prescribed an eye drop for my bird, which when asked whether it contained a steroid I was told that it did not.   This so-called veterinarian prescribed the steroid for a lump for which she never took a biopsy.  I later learned that the eye drop indeed contained a steroid.

Dr. Fanelli also refused to see my bird again after the initial visit, which forced me to seek alternate medical care and begin with a new vet.

Furthermore, Dr. Fanelli advised me to call a pet poison control center.  The poison control center told me that they would be able to advise me on treating a poisoned bird, but would only provide the consultation after I paid $59.  After I paid, I was then told that they could not provide information on birds, only dogs and cats.  This was clearly fraud.  The poison control center refunded my money, because they knew they had committed fraud.

Dr. Fanelli also suggested I go to an emergency room of another vet in Delaware.   The vet in Delaware assured me that they would treat my bird for poisoning.  When I arrived, I was told that they could not treat for the poisoning, only the vinegar I had given my bird to throw up the poison given.   Again, Dr. Fanelli provides fraudulent information.

I want a full refund on the office visit $79 and the steroidal medicine $20.41 that was given to me under pretenses.   I expect a full refund on this portion of the total office visit.   I had spend additional money to start all over again with another vet, which is how I discovered the eye drop was indeed a steroid.

Dr. Fanelli should be stripped of her veterinary license.
