After seeing their television commercials I thought Good Feet might be an answer for my flat feet and the associated pain it caused me. Unfortunately I'd been awake for close to 24 hours before I went in so I was quite sleep deprived. Closing time was near and I was the only one in the store. That salesman saw me coming.

Without mentioning prices he showed me a raft of products he said all worked together to make my feet feel better. The store would be closing soon so the time pressure to finish the transaction didn't allow for reading all the reams and reams of fine print. And of course the salesman didn't mention any of it. Imagine my shock when I got to the cash register and he rang it all up. It was substantially over a thousand dollars for a set of insoles! A mere pair of shoes was over $150. Of course I was in shock when he told me the final price, and he already had my credit card, so I stumbled home with an overpriced piece of plastic that my insurance won't begin to process for reimbursement.

When I had recovered a bit and got some sleep, I tried to return them. Needless to say they wouldn't even consider refunding my money. Apparently the company policy dictates that the customer is never right.

I was so eager for happy feet that the rest of me ended up extremely sad.

Do yourself a favor and don't make the same mistake.

Thank You

Thank you so much for pointing out my grammatical (or perhaps spelling error). That little mistake would have invalidated my entire comment if you weren't so smart to point that out. So again THANK YOU for your keen eye...see what happens when you get some sleep.

Hmm, your “rebuttal” is merely a complaint about the complainer.
- NOPE. Thanks (or is it Thank's, or perhaps Thanks') to your update you have basically proved that I hit the nail on the head and you knew(or is it new) exactly what you were(or is it we're) doing.

If you are really an ER nurse, this makes it even worse. I know a couple of ER Nurses that work their "rear end" off and they would NEVER try to use any sort of "sleep deprivation" as an excuse as to why they did something they later regretted.  If you aren't an ER Nurse, then again this is just another exaggeration you are trying to put in.

Oh by the way, you didn't go to this store on a stretcher needing immediate medical attention to save your life. You made a concerted effort to go to this store, failed to at any time just get up and walk out. Instead even after you heard the price you still agreed to it, then at a later time made a concerted effort to compile your report with the opportunity to be very selective of the words you decided to use.

Hmm, your “rebuttal” is merely a complaint about the complainer. Kinda proves the original point- that there isn’t much positive to say about Good Feet. Since I paid an exorbitant price for these insoles, etc., I’m not willing to let them sit in my closet collecting dust. So yes, I have been wearing them. And still waiting for the unbelievable cure, with the operative word there being unbelievable.

Next time you want to rag on someone, make sure it isn’t someone who sometimes stays up for 24 hours, like an ER nurse. But wait, you’re safe there, because nurses are used to exaggeration and aren’t likely to rag on the complainer who comes in on a stretcher with every excuse in the book to explain it away.

Oh, and “reems and reems” seems to be your shtick. A ream of paper is 500 sheets, to reem is a slang term meaning to gouge something. Perhaps you need to choose a different forum and get an editor for your rants.

I never get it

It is amazing how many people blame everyone but themselves for their mistakes, and try to come up with every excuse in the book to explain it away.

As by your own words even though you were sleep deprived and had not slept for 24 hours, you somehow decided to go to a store just before closing time. You then somehow gave them your credit card before they gave you the total, and even after they gave you the total you signed the slip.

But what is more worrysome is your description of going home. You stated you had to "stumble" home. Figuring you are not within walking distance that means you got behind the wheel of a car and put your life and the life of everyone else in danger. Because you can see in study after study that driving while drowsy is as bad if not worse than driving intoxicated. I can only hope that you had hired a Taxi or Ride Service to get you to and from this store.

But then if you were coherent enough to get a Ride Service, and make a decision to go to this store, you were coherent enough to make your own decisions at the store.

Oh and as for the "reems and reems" of fine print you were not allowed to look through. A "reem" of paper is 500 sheets so are you really telling us that they had that much fine print? Yes, I know you were exagerating but that just goes to the point...this entire report is probably an exageration to try and gain sympathy for what is really nothing more than a case of buyer's remorse.
